Time was short so Renna did the bare minimum and outlined the individual roles, assigning William and his men along with a group of twenty adventurers to the eastern edge of the camp. She, along with her remaining adventurers would take the western edge of the camp while Jareth and his mercenaries were to engage the horde head-on along with Kaleb.
As she dished out her instructions, her voice carried an almost unnerving calm, like she was discussing the weather instead of a plan to deal with a deadly horde of magic beasts.
Jareth hesitated. Narrowing his eyes as he growled in protest.
"And why do my men and I have to be the ones to face the horde head-on?"
Rena met his gaze.
"Because you and you men are the most capable of handling the situation if something goes wrong with the plan."
His expression wavered, embodying his conflict between frustration and reluctance, but eventually, he gave a begrudging nod.
