Capítulo 38: Fateful Revelation

Victor furrowed his brow as he racked his brain, trying to remember where he had seen Rayna.

"Ah! I remember Kaleb was trying to talk to her earlier, just before that speech. But how do you know each other though?

Just as Rayna's lips part, a knight rides past on the back of a horse, his presence almost demanding attention. He looked down at the scuffle they were causing and sneered, demanding to know what had transpired.

"What is going on here?"

He looks over to see Rayna stood at the center of the commotion. The words that followed were those no one would wish were spoken to them.

"Repulsive beast! What is a slave doing here? Should you not be in tending to the wounded?"

Reluctantly bowing her head to the man, she attempted to explain.

"I was just carrying this bucket of hot water there sir, and due to my lack of care I dropped and spilled it on these people and was just apologizing."
