As the second wave of undead continued to press in on George and his Dagger Unit, the sounds of battle filled the air: the clang of swords, the crack of gunfire, and the horrifying moans of the undead horde. George could feel the fatigue weighing down on him, but there was no time to rest, no time to think about anything but surviving.

Suddenly, the radio crackled to life, General Conners' voice coming through. "George! We've got reinforcements incoming. They're landing on the coast and making their way inland. Hang in there, we're about to get some much-needed help!"

George's heart lifted at the news. Reinforcements. The Marines had arrived.

"They're coming!" George shouted to his team, barely dodging a blow from a lumbering zombie as he cut it down. "We've got reinforcements on the way!"

Raven, Lucy, and Jackie fought with renewed vigor. Each of them was pushing their limits, but the hope of reinforcements spurred them on.
