Capítulo 74: Morning Intrusion

Elara groaned into her pillow as the insistent noise of someone knocking echoed through her sleepy brain. She buried herself deeper under her blankets, trying to pretend that the world didn't exist, and that whoever was at her door could just go away. She had barely slept, her thoughts spinning in endless circles around a certain clumsy, sarcastic heiress.

Why am I thinking about Amara again? she mentally screamed at herself. But of course, Amara's awkward smile and terrible sarcasm had lodged themselves in her brain, rent-free.

The knocking didn't stop.

Elara rolled over, squinting at her phone. It was too early for this. Too early for anyone to be banging on her door like they had some sort of emergency.

"Ugh," she groaned, sitting up, her hair an absolute mess. Whoever was at the door was about to get a piece of her mind.

But before she could even throw off her blanket, the door to her bedroom opened.
