After leaving Alpha Daniel at the pack’s main house to meet with his Luna, Max and I quickly went to the council hall.

We went into the room, and Rosa, as invited by me, was sitting amongst the audience beside Jaxon.

I could see them chatting... or maybe arguing?

It was interesting. They really looked like a cute couple.

David looked at me with a hint of a sneer, and then I found him sharing a look with his father.

I took my place at the front of the room, facing everyone else with Max by my side.

I was about to open my mouth and read out David’s charges, but he beat me to it as he quickly spoke up, “I admit that I have misappropriated public funds at work and am willing to resign and return the original money.”

After he admitted his mistakes, some of the Elders seemed to support him and began to chime in, “He has admitted his mistakes. We hope the court will decide on the result of this trial quickly.”

I looked at those Elders with disgust and anger.
