ULRIC VANISHED immediately he heard Neta's scream, and in seconds he appeared in the shadows of Duchess Nanette. "Your Grace, there is something I found that would require your urgency."

His sudden appearance startled Nanette as the hot tea slipped to the saucer plate.

She eyed who had dared to bother her but soften once she saw it was a member of the shadow assassin. 

"Something urgent that requires my attention?"

"Yes, Your grace. I found a body during my patrol around the perimeter of the mansion and—"

As he explained, he was soon interrupted by an urgent knock on the door. "Your Grace, it is Ediva. Your attention is required downstairs."

Nanette stared at Ulric and then back at the door. "Is it the same reason you came here?"
