“Dani?”

To say that I was surprised to find her waiting outside the Soup House in the morning would be an understatement.

After the way I had treated her yesterday, how I had yelled at her before walking away…the scene played over and over in my head and the icy cold claws of guilt gripped my heart, making me unable to meet her brown eyes.

However, the next thing I know, Dani was right there, hugging me to her warm embrace as I stood still, not understanding how she could still hug me after all the shitty things I did.

“I’m sorry!” We both said at the same time, pulling back to look at each other’s face before we burst out laughing and everything felt right in the world once again.

“I’m so sorry for yelling at you like that.” I told her now, with my arms on her shoulders. “Please forgive me, Dani. I don’t know what came over me.”
