‘I want to claim what’s mine. What always has been mine but the only reason I’m holding back is because of you. And once this match is over, I will claim it.’

‘Were you serious back then? When you told Trisha that if our mates are from another pack…you’d still let us go?’

Both Sarah and Darcia’s words meshed together inside my head, forming a theory that I wasn’t ready to believe.

No…It wasn’t possible…it couldn’t be! Fuck! Hell no!

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath; both to calm myself the fuck down and to take a whiff of the scents all around me. It didn’t take long for me to separate out Sarah’s earthy scent from all the unfamiliar ones. And then I began tracing it.

‘I need to head out. It’s urgent.’ It was all the warning I gave Alex as I started following the scent back to school.

‘What? Cam! The award ceremony is about to start! Damnit!’ Alex’s annoyed voice came to my mind but I ignored it.
