ZINA
Zina jolted awake at Seraph's prompting, and she tried to calm her beating heart in the face of the commotion that greeted her senses.
It had not been exactly surprising when on their way, they had not encountered any rogue. But encountering one when they were almost at the territory of the Army Without An Alpha was quite shocking….and certainly unexpected.
To feed the rogue army, the rogues had resorted to snatching—or more like stealing—food from hardworking Packs without much power and territory. Zina had heard many tales like that at the numerous rest stops they stopped at, so Zina figured that the rogue attack was merely a move to snatch a rich traveling figure's food.
Only if they knew that Zina's not more than twenty companions were well up to the task of protecting themselves, and protecting Zina if they so pleased.
But why was the commotion outside so loud despite the sound proofed carriage?
