Capítulo 4: Chapter 4- Slave

Sophia had never begged like this before, but to escape, she needed to first treat her injuries and illnesses.

"So, what do you plan to do once you're healed? Escape?" The man seemed to see through her thoughts and spoke candidly.

"Can you help me?" She didn't have much hope. Although the man had a pair of charming eyes and a handsome face like a scholar, the coldness in his gaze was just as chilling as Capone's.

"Help you… What's in it for me?"

Sophia was a bit lost; she had nothing left.

"I can cook you more noodles!" Perhaps her mind was a bit muddled, as she offered such an unappealing deal.

Cronus laughed. "Your cooking isn't that great. Lucy is much better than you!"

"Then I could bake you a cake or make mousse and egg tarts. I'm really good at it, honestly!" Sophia added urgently. Baking was her specialty.

"You can make cakes?" Cronus looked at her with some interest, his gaze shifting thoughtfully to the room at the other end of the living area, which belonged to Capone.

"Alright, I'll agree, but I want you to help me with the immediate issue first!"

"What is it?"

"Help me take care of the patient. Every doctor has a few troublesome patients!" He glanced at his watch, took out a few boxes of ointment from the medical kit, and handed them to her. "Follow the instructions on these medicines, rest for a while. When Lucy returns, come to the room at the far right on the second floor. No need to knock, just come in! The supply of medicine on the island is limited. This is all I have for external wounds. Remember to return it to me later!"

Cronus left after handing over the medicine. Sophia returned to her room, took the two types of anti-inflammatory medication, and realized when trying to tend to her wounds that she couldn't reach the injuries on her back, and she didn't have the courage to touch the wounds between her legs.

After a while, Lucy returned. Sophia wanted to ask Lucy for help with applying the medicine, but she hesitated, not wanting to expose her embarrassing bruises to a stranger.

The anti-inflammatory medication had started to take effect, and her dizziness had lessened. She took the medication and went upstairs. She thought Cronus would be there, perhaps attending to patients or maybe even taking her to see someone who could help with her wounds.

The villa's doors were heavy, stylish, and well-soundproofed. Following Cronus's instructions, Sophia didn't knock and pushed open the door to the room at the far right on the second floor. She was met with an eerie silence, and as soon as she entered, seven or eight men turned their gazes toward her, including Capone, who was sitting at the center with his eyes narrowed.

Sophia was stunned. There was no sound from outside, and she had expected this to be a patient's recovery room, but it seemed more like an office.

Among the men were those she recognized, including Mandy and Joey, as well as Dr. Cronus, who had spoken with her downstairs.

If anyone could be considered a patient, it would be Mandy, who was sitting in a wheelchair with his leg injury bandaged.

Capone observed Sophia's bewilderment. She was only wearing a thin cotton outfit, barefoot, with her shoulder-length curls somewhat disheveled. Her skin was pale, almost translucent, but her cheeks had an unusual flush.

"What are you doing here? Who let you come up?" His voice was chilling.

Sophia instinctively wanted to turn and flee. The pain inflicted by this devil still ravaged her body. Although she wished to make him suffer, she was powerless against him. He was too dangerous, and all she could do was escape as far as possible.

"It was me who brought her here!" Cronus finally spoke up. He only gave a slight smile in response to Capone's sharp gaze and the curious looks from others, explaining, "There are so many sick and injured people recently, I can't handle it all. This girl agreed to be my assistant, so I brought her along. There are still people who need their dressings changed today, right?"

Everyone's gaze then shifted in unison toward Capone.

They all knew him well—he ignored injuries and avoided medical treatment.

"Ah, if you hadn't mentioned it, I would have forgotten. Mandy was just complaining about his leg pain. He should really rest now! Boss, we're heading back. Take good care of your injury and don't overexert yourself!"

Joey cheerfully followed Cronus's words, his tone somewhat suggestive, and he stood up to push Mandy's wheelchair and lead everyone out.

"Bro, about the recent attack…" Mandy's serious expression showed no sign of change. The issue hadn't been resolved, and Sophia Diaz's sudden intrusion meant they hadn't yet heard Capone's plans.

Capone pondered for a moment and then waved his hand, saying, "We'll discuss this next time. For now, everyone should stay put and not act recklessly! Mandy and I are both injured, so it's best to stay cautious. You all go back and rest! Cronus, stay here!"

The others said nothing more and left as instructed. Joey even gave Sophia a cocky whistle as he passed by.

Sophia bit her lower lip, struggling to endure the condescension and disdain in their gazes. The temperature around her seemed to drop.

Capone lifted his chin and said, "Come here!"

She remained standing, her gaze fixed angrily on Cronus behind him.

He had deceived her. He was not the benevolent doctor she had hoped for and would not help her escape.

Because he was the fourth in this group, a crucial figure in their dark empire.

She stood still, and Capone narrowed his eyes, walking directly towards her.

He stood in front of her, his shadow casting over her frail figure. He lifted her chin with one hand and said slowly, "The next time I speak to you, you better obey, understand?"

His fingers were long and bony, exerting a crushing force on her jaw, causing her to gasp in pain, her eyes brimming with tears. Despite the pain, her defiant gaze met his.

"I'm not your slave; I don't have to listen to you!"

Capone smirked, "Wrong. You are my slave!" He leaned closer to her ear, his voice mocking, "Slave, you hear?"

"You!" Sophia, filled with fury and desperation, raised her hand to slap him, but he easily intercepted it. His large hand gripped her slender wrist, saying, "You performed well in bed, but I expect you to be absolutely obedient at all times. Understand?"

"You bastard! Scum like you deserves nothing but death!" Sophia struggled angrily, but he merely gave her a slight push, and her body toppled to the side. The pain between her legs intensified, and she fell to the ground, unable to stand.

"Be careful. Her original injuries haven't been treated yet. Don't dislocate anything else!" Cronus, having washed his hands and donned medical gloves, walked over, "Time for a change of dressings. If the wounds get infected, it's not my problem! Hey, you, come over and learn. You'll be responsible for dressing wounds from now on!"

Cronus showed no sympathy towards Sophia, offering no help to lift her up, and simply gave orders.

In her agony, Sophia could barely rise. Facing the two men with their varying styles but the same domineering attitude, she saw only one way to protect herself—obedience.

Cronus's technique was indeed skilled, confirming his role as a professional caregiver. But to Sophia, he was just another part of the cruelty.

Standing beside Capone, she watched as Cronus applied the harsh-smelling antiseptic to Capone's wound. The bullet hadn't penetrated his shoulder blade, but the large-caliber weapon had left a horrifying injury, bloody and mangled, making her want to vomit.

"Apply the powder. It's simple!" Cronus refused to let her off the hook and showed no remorse for deceiving her, handing her the tweezers and medicine tray for the remaining steps.

She took a cotton ball with the tweezers, her hand trembling, whether from fear or hatred.

Capone had removed his shirt, exposing his chest. Sophia was forced to crouch in front of him to apply the medicine, her proximity to the white wolf tattoo on his left chest too close. The scene from last night replayed in her mind, as if this white wolf had transformed into a demon, tearing apart her innocence!

Filled with rage, Sophia wished she could stab the tweezers into his wound or even his throat. Her anger made her hand unsteady, causing blood to seep from the already coagulated wound.

Capone furrowed his brows but only looked down at her coldly.

"Forget it. I'll do it," Cronus took over, efficiently treating Capone's wound, seemingly oblivious to the darkening expression on Capone's face. "You couldn't even learn how to apply medicine properly. No wonder your cooking is so bad!"

"Did you cook for Cronus?" His question was directed at Sophia.
