Capítulo 30: Make it up to Me

Sophia felt a comforting warmth enveloping her as Matthew held her close. His kindness and gentleness contrasted sharply with Ronan's harsh criticism.

She had expected Ronan to struggle with being nice, but his attempts were almost comical. How was she supposed to handle such a beast of a man?

"Why don't you get dressed? I will turn around," Matthew suggested, his voice tender. Sophia realized she was still wearing his shirt, as her own clothes had been ripped apart when she transformed.

Matthew kept his promise and turned away. "There, promise I won't peek." His chuckle was reassuring.

Sophia's guilt deepened as she thought about how Matthew was trying to be a gentleman, even though her behavior last night was far from ladylike. Her mind was troubled, remembering what had happened with Ronan.

[Should I tell Matthew?] she asked her wolf.

[That might be a mistake,] her wolf replied.
