Immediately Ethan shook his head, with a sheepish grin on his face as he handed the keys back to Naomi. "I appreciate the offer, but I don't have a driving license yet,"
he said, his voice apologetic.
"And moreover, I wouldn't want to risk getting pulled over by the authorities, and causing more trouble for myself when I'm supposed to be keeping a low profile now."
At that moment he rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a bit embarrassed about his lack of driving experience and everything.
Naomi nodded, understanding Ethan worries.
"That's fair,"
she said, pocketing the keys again. "We'll figure out another way to get you around safely."
She patted his shoulder reassuringly, her touch warm and comforting.
