I left the mall with a growing sense of urgency, heading directly to Kaveesha's apartment to check on Whitney. The drive was uneventful at first, but as I drove for about ten minutes, I started to notice a car trailing me. My instincts kicked in, and I decided to test whether they were genuinely following me.

I took a few turns, altering my route and slowing down to see if the car would remain on my tail. Sure enough, the car stayed behind me, maintaining the same distance. I could feel a knot of tension tightening in my stomach. This was not a coincidence.

I eventually found a quiet spot, parked the car, and got out. I stood by the vehicle, my eyes scanning the surroundings as I waited for the car to approach. My heart was pounding, a mix of anticipation and apprehension.
