Chapter 19: The Meowth Rules

(One night, somewhere in the Orange Island.)

(Jessie and James are trying to fix their submarine.)

(Usually, they're in hot pursuit of Mew and her friends, but not this time around.)

(Their Magikarp submarine is caught between some rocks as they try to fix some repairs to their submarine.)

James: "Nothing ever seems to work out right for us, does it, Jessie?"

(James replies, fixing the submarine.)

(He sits up and says.)

James: "Or maybe I wasn't meant to be happy."

Jessie: "Only spoiled little brats like you can afford to waste time thinking that way."

(Jessie says, frustrated.)

(Then points the wrench at James.)

Jessie: "Haven't you ever heard of positive thinking? Try looking on the bright side for a change."

(Suddenly, they hear Meowth say.)

Meowth: "Ah, I am so happy."

(The two become confused and look down to see Meowth is crying for joy for a pile of clams.)

(He holds the clam in tears and says.)

Meowth: "I'm gonna have free clams for dinner! I'm da happiest Meowth in da whole world!"

(Jessie and James look at Meowth with confused looks.)

Jessie: "I'm all for positive thinking, but Meowth seems to be stretching the concept a little too far."

(Jessie says.)

(James then jumps down to Meowth.)

James: "Well, I'm very happy for you."

(He then grabs Meowth by his legs and holds him upside down.)

(He then shakes him by his legs.)

James: "Now why don't you learn Pay Day and make us happy with some money?"

Meowth: "I'd love to make money, Jimmy, but I put so much energy into learning how to talk that I just can't learn Pay Day."

(Meowth explains.)

James: "Oh, well,"

(James says, and drops Meowth.)

(Jessie asks.)

Jessie: "Didn't I just hear the sound of a coin?"

Meowth: "I heard it, too! And it was coming from him!"

(Meowth says, pointing to James.)

(James begins to panic.)

(And then Jessie grabs James by his leg and spins him around as she shouts,)

Jessie: "So, holding out on us, are you?! Cough it up!"

(James screams.)

James: "No, stop! Let go! Please! Don't!"

(Then something flies out from James' shirt and falls to the ground.)

(Meowth walks over to see what it is.)

(Seeing the object, Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Hey, this ain't a coin, it's some kind of bottle cap."

(James pounces on the cap and cries out.)

James: "I couldn't live without my most very extra special favorite limited edition vintage bottle cap!"

Jessie: "I guess he likes it."

(Jessie replies.)

(Soon, Jessie spots something, and points to the direction.)

Jessie: "Look out there!"

(James and Meowth look to where Jessie is pointing to, and it's Mew and her friends.)

Meowth: "It's them!"

(Meowth shouts.)

James: "Pikachu, Eevee, and the twerps!"

(James says.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Let's go get em!"

Jessie and James: "Yeah!"

(Jessie and James cheer.)

(Meanwhile, out in the ocean, Mew and her friends are sailing on Lapras under the full moon.)

(Mew looks around.)

Mew: "See any place we can stay for the night, Tracey?"

Tracey: "No islands, just a bunch of rocks."

(Tracey says, looking through the binoculars.)

(Just then, Pikachu calls out.)

Pikachu: "Pika!" (Look there!)

(and points to the water.)

(Mew and the others look to where Pikachu is looking to see some strange glow.)

Tomo: "What's that?"

(Tomo asks.)

Tracey: "Some weird kind of light."

(Tracey says.)

Misty: "And it's headed this way."

(Misty says.)

(Just then something splashes and rises from the water.)

Mew: "Hey, look!"

(Mew says.)

(And what they see is Team Rocket and their submarine.)

(And Team Rocket begins the motto. Again.)

Jessie: Prepare for nighttime trouble.

James: Make it after-dark double.

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!

James: To unite all people within our nation!

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James: To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie: Jessie.

James: James.

Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light, light, light!

James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!

Meowth: Meowth! Dat's right!

Mew: "Team Rocket!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Jessie then points to the kids.)

Jessie: "This time, I'm afraid you're sunk!"

(However, Team Rocket's submarine is the only thing that is sinking.)

(That causes them to panic.)

Team Rocket: "We're sinking!"

(Mew turns to her friends.)

Mew: "So, do you we should help them or blast them?"

Tomo: "I say we blast them!"

(Tomo says.)

(Suddenly, multiple figures rise from the water.)

(And those figures are a large group of Gyarados.)

(Everyone panics.)

Everyone: "GYARADOS!"

(With that, Gyarados begins to fire their Water Guns at everyone in sight.)

(Lapras ends up getting hit, and knocks each other into the water.)

(One of them hit Jessie and James, sending them flying.)

(Jassie and James scream.)

Jassie and James: "We're blasting off again!"

(Lapras is able to swim back up.)

(Misty, Tracey, Tomo, Pikachu, Eevee, and the others swim back up and grab on to Lapras.)

Misty: "We gotta get out of here!"

(Misty panics.)

(Tracey looks around.)

Tracey: "Wait, where's Mew?!"

(At the submarine, Meowth climbs up.)

Meowth: "Phew! That was close!"

(Just then, MEW is able to climb up the submarine.)

(Meowth panics.)

Meowth: "What are you doing here?"

(Just then, they see a large Gyarados staring down at them.)

(Then uses a water gun blasting them into the air.)

Meowth: "I'm blasting off, too!"

(Meowth screams.)

(Seeing what is happening, Misty, Tracey, and Tomo cry out.)

Misty, Tracey, and Tomo: "MEW!"

(Even Pikachu and Eevee are shocked.)

Pikachu and Eevee: "PIKA PI! EEVEE! (MEW!)

(Meowth and Mew are sent flying over Team Rocket.)

Jessie: "There goes Meowth and the twerpette,"

(Jessie says.)

James: "They're flying high."

(James adds.)

(Somewhere out to sea, there is an island.)

(where there is a giant Meowth statue with fruits and vegetables gathered around it.)

(Standing before it is a group of villagers of the island.)

(A man stands and calls out.)

man: "Hear me! Tonight is the night we've long awaited! The night we finally see the ancient prophecy fulfilled! Our ancestors foretold of the night of a foam white moon, when the great Meowth of Bounty will bestow great wealth upon us. That night has come! And now we await the great Meowth's arrival!"

(The villagers are in awe, and then, right on cue, Meowth and Mew land in the water close to the beach.)

(Meowth and Mew are able to swim to the shore and are soaked and wet.)

Meowth: "I should be getting frequent flier miles."

(Meowth says, feeling in pain.)

Mew: "Now I know how you feel like being blasted off."

(Mew says, and spits the salt water from her mouth.)

(Just then, light comes over Meowth and Mew, and they both look to see a group of people shining down on them.)

(Just then, the people put Mew and Meowth on a platform and carry them away.)

Meowth: "Hey! What are you..?"

(Meowth asks.)

Mew: "What's happening?"

(Mew asks.)

(As the two are being carried away, a pair of eyes stare at them with curiosity.)

(Soon enough, Mew and Meowth are placed in front of a bounty of fruits.)

(The two are so confused and look around until they see the golden Meowth statue behind them.)

Meowth: "That's a major Meowth!"

(Meowth says, confused.)

(Mew then whispers to Meowth.)

Mew: "Hey Meowth, look."

(Meowth turns his head and notices the villagers are bowing.)

(And notices that they have cat ear headbands and cat noses, and some have cat glove paws.)

Meowth: "What are they doing?"

(Meowth asks himself.)

(Just then, a young man who is the Ceremonial Leader, a village elder.)

(Ceremonial leader says.)

Ceremonial leader: "You honor us with your presence. Words cannot express our gratitude. Please, partake in our humble offering."

Meowth: "I'm a little short on cash, but I can pay you for the food on Tuesday."

(Meowth says.)

(Mew giggles as she covers her mouth.)

(The villagers are shocked that Meowth can talk.)

Ceremonial leader: "Could it be?!"

(Ceremonial leader.)

Meowth: "Maybe I should've kept my big mouth shut."

(Meowth softly says.)

(Mew softly whispers.)

Mew: "Let's see what happens."

(Ceremonial leader whispers to the elder.)

Ceremonial leader: "The prophecy doesn't mention talking. Now that I think of it, it also didn't mention a girl going with it. Are you sure this is the Meowth of Bounty?"

Village elder: "There's no doubt about it! The Meowth of Bounty is a special creature, so it must have special powers. And the girl must be sent to assist the Meowth of Bounty."

(Village elder says.)

(In tears, Meowth turns to Mew.)

Meowth: "I bet they're trying to figure out how to get rid of us."

Mew: "I'm not sure."

(Mew says.)

Ceremonial leader: "You're right. Let the bounty ceremony begin!"

(Ceremonial leader says.)

Village elder: "We mustn't hurry. If we start the ceremony too soon, we may put the Meowth of Bounty in bad spirits."

(Village elder says.)

(Still in tears, Meowth says.)

Meowth: "We're in trouble and I don't even have Jessie and James to blame."

Village elder: "First, let's gain Meowth's favor, then we can begin the ceremony."

(Village elder says.)

(Still in tears, Meowth says.)

Meowth: "I really did it this time. I'm a goner for sure."

(Soon he has an idea.)

Meowth: "But maybe I can still sneak away."

(Ceremonial leader turns to the villagers.)

Ceremonial leader: "We must bow down before the great Meowth of Bounty!"

(Meowth stops trying to sneak away and asks.)

Meowth: "Did somebody call me great?"

Mew: "And did he say bow?"

(Mew asks.)

(Soon, the villagers begin to bow for Meowth, and they chant.)

villagers: "Hail Meowth of Bounty. Hail Meowth of Bounty. Hail Meowth of Bounty."

Meowth: "What's going on?"

(Meowth asks.)

(Mew whispers.)

Mew: "It seems that the villagers think you're this Meowth of Bounty."

Meowth: "Oh I get it, they got me mixed up with some other Meowth."

(Meowth says, understanding.)

(He smiles and says.)

Meowth: "If I don't let the cat out of the bag, I could have a good thing going here."

Mew: "Are you sure this is a good idea?"

(Mew asks.)

Meowth: "Relax kid, Meowth got everything under control."

(Meowth says.)

Mew: "That worries me."

(Mew says softly.)

Villager: "Excuse me, young miss,"

(Someone says.)

(Mew turns her head to see the Ceremonial Leader and two female villagers, and they're holding some clothes.)

The Ceremonial: "As the loyal servant of the Meowth of Bounty, it's important for you to look more subtle for the Meowth of Bounty. Plus, I'm sure you want to get out of those wet clothes."

(The Ceremonial leader says.)

Mew: "Um, thank you."

(Mew replies.)

(The next day, Meowth is feasting up like a storm.)

(Mew stands close to Meowth as he eats.)

(Because of the respect for the Meowth of Bounty and her clothes having been soaked.)

(Mew is now wearing the clothes the islanders are wearing.)

(As Meowth eats, he soon lets out a frown, and the ceremonial leader hurries over.)

(The ceremonial leader asks.)

ceremonial leader: "Are you in any way displeased, oh, great Meowth?"

Meowth: "How come I ain't got any meatballs up here?!"

(Meowth shouts.)

ceremonial leader: "Forgive me,"

(The leader says.)

(Then calls out.)

ceremonial leader: "Bring some meatballs!"

Meowth: "I only need a hundred!"

(Meowth says.)

(Later, Meowth's request was granted, and there are a lot of meatballs.)

Meowth: "Well, this oughta do for a start!"

(Meowth says.)

(And with that, Meowth munches the meatballs away.)

(And later on, Meowth is stuffed.)

Meowth: "Ah! Whisker licking good!"

Mew: "You surely had your fill."

(Mew says, rolling her eyes.)

(Meowth then claps his paws twice and the ceremonial leader comes running.)

(He then asks.)

Ceremonial Leader: "Do you wish something, oh, Meowth of Bounty?"

Meowth: "I could go for some entertainment."

(Meowth says.)

Ceremonial Leader: "Your wish is my command!"

(The leader says, and bows his head.)

(Then calls out.)

Ceremonial Leader: "Bring on the dancers!"

(And soon, some dancers appear before Meowth and begin to dance.)

(Two of the dancers approach on both sides of him and say.)

Two dancers: "We welcome you, oh, great Meowth of Bounty."

(Then they both give him a kiss on the cheek.)

Ceremonial Leader: "Are you entertained, oh, Meowth of Bounty?"

(The Ceremonial Leader asks.)

Meowth: "Oh, yeah,"

(Meowth says, feeling satisfied.)

(Later on, Meowth is standing close to the cliff as he strums on a guitar.)

Meowth: "Landing here was such a blessing! Now all day long, I'm reminiscing! But still, I wish I could share my happiness with somebody."

(Soon, Meowth begins to remember her friends from last night.)

Meowth: "I wonder what my old friends Jessie and James are doing now,"

(Meowth wonders.)

Mew: "I'm sure they're somewhere. So are my friends."

(Mew's voice appears.)

(Meowth turns to see Mew walking toward them and sits down.)

Mew: "I hope my friends are alright, since the Gyarados attack."

(Mew says.)

Meowth: "Yeah. Those Gyarados were a lot to handle."

(Meowth says.)

(Suddenly, they hear something coming from the bushes.)

(They turn their heads to see something in the bushes.)

Meowth: "What was that?"

(Meowth asks.)

Mew: "I'm not sure. Let's look."

(Mew says.)

(Mew and Meowth secretly sneak up to the bushes.)

(They quietly tip toes as they approach the bushes.)

(Just then, a Meowth peeks out of the bushes.)

(But this Meowth seems a bit larger.)

Meowth: "It's another Meowth."

(Meowth says, surprised.)

(Meowth walks over and asks.)

Meowth: "Hey Meowth, what are you doing here?"

large Meowth: "Meow Meow Meow, Meow Meow," (I kind of live on the island, so I'm a local here.)

(The large Meowth says.)

Mew: "You live here?"

(Mew asks.)

Meowth: "I'm surprised the islanders didn't notice you."

(Meowth says.)

large Meowth: "Meow Meow Meow," (I'm a little shy to get close to the islanders.)

(large Meowth says, blushing a bit.)

Meowth: "You're shy?"

(Meowth says, confused.)

(The Large Meowth shyly nods his head.)

Mew: "Why not come with us, I'm sure the others will like to meet you."

(Mew says.)

(The Large Meowth blushes and quickly hides in the bushes.)

Mew: "That Meowth is really shy."

(Mew says.)

Meowth: "Yeah."

(Meowth says.)

(Then turns to Mew.)

Meowth: "Come on twerpette, let's go back to the villagers."

Mew: "Um sure. But still…"

(Mew says, and begins to think.)

Meowth: "What is it?"

(Meowth asks.)

Mew: "I have to wonder why they call you the Meowth of Bounty, and why a Meowth at all."

(Mew says.)

(Meowth then begins to think about it.)

Meowth: "Yeah. I have to wonder why."

Mew: "Maybe they can explain it to us."

(Mew replies.)

Meowth: "Yeah. I'm still confused about it."

(Meowth says.)

(Meanwhile, somewhere in the ocean, Misty, Tomo, Tracy, and the Pokemon are on Lapras and are searching for Mew.)

(Tomo calls out.)

Tomo: "Mew!"

Pikachu: "Pika pi!" (Mew!)

(Pikachu calls out.)

Eevee: "Eevee!" (Mew!)

(Eevee calls out.)

(Even Lapras squeals.)

Lapras: "Mew!"

Tracey: "Where are you?!"

(Tracey calls out.)

(Misty says in concern.)

Misty: "Where can she be?"

Tracey: "She can't get sent this far."

(Tracey says.)

(Pikachu and Eevee begin to feel sad for their Trainer and her safety.)

Misty: "Don't worry, we'll find Mew. We just need to find out where she flew off to."

(Misty says.)

Tracey: "According to the direction she flies, she should be somewhere around this area."

(Tracey says, looking at the binoculars.)

(Tracey soon notices an Island up ahead.)

Tracey: "Look, there's an island."

(Tracey says.)

Misty: "Maybe Mew is over there."

(Misty says.)

Misty: "Let's go look."

(Misty says.)

(Tomo then asks Lapras.)

Tomo: "Lapras, can you take us to the island?"

(Lapras nods and swims to the island.)

(Meanwhile, Jessie and James are on the island and are still a bit drenched.)

(Jessie spits sand from her mouth.)

Jessie: "Blech. I can't believe those twerps beat us."

James: "And we lost Meowth."

(James says.)

(Jessie soon notices.)

Jessie: "At least we land on the island."

James: "Yes. I wonder if Meowth is here somewhere."

(James says.)

(Before they can think, they hear squealing.)

(They turn to see Lapras swimming towards the island.)

Jessie and James: "It's the twerps!"

(Jessie and James say, shocked.)

(As the group comes close to the island, they see.)

the group: "Team Rocket?!"

(And so, the two groups end up meeting up.)

Jessie: "How did we end up with you again?"

(Jessie questions with frustration.)

Misty: "We can say the same about you!"

(Misty angrily says.)

James: "You're the reason why we lost Meowth!"

(James angrily says.)

Tomo: "You're the one who got Gyarados blasting us!"

(Tomo angrily says.)

(Tracey then calls out.)

Tracey: "Guys, calm down. Maybe we should go see if they're on the island."

Jessie: "Fine, we'll do a truce. For now."

(Jessie says.)

James: "Until we find Meowth and your Poke speaking twerpette."

(James says.)

Misty: "Fine,"

(Misty says, not too pleased.)

Tomo: "Yeah. I guess it's alright."

(Tomo says.)

(Tracey then says.)

Tracey: "Now, let's go explore around the island to find Mew."

(Misty turns to Lapras.)

Misty: "Lapras, you stay here. We'll search for the island and search for Mew. Call out if she comes to shore."

(Lapras squeals.)

Lapras: (Okay.)

(And so, the group begins to look around the island for Meowth and Mew.)

(Back at the giant Meowth statue, Meowth is still being pampered by the villagers.)

(Mew is still skeptical about the villagers who are Meowth worshipers.)

(One of the dancers gives Meowth a berry.)

First dancer: "Have another, great one."

(But before Meowth can eat it, the Ceremonial leader calls out.)

Ceremonial leader: "Excuse us, oh, great one."

(Meowth looks to see the leader and the elder bow with respect.)

(Then the leader says.)

Ceremonial leader: "The time has come to perform the bounty ceremony."

Meowth: "Bounty ceremony?"

(Meowth says, confused.)

Village Elder: "Yes,"

(The Village Elder answers.)

(Then explains.)

Village Elder: "According to the prophecy, the Meowth of Bounty will use Pay Day to bring a bounty of coins that will bring about a great age of wealth and happiness for all our people!"

Meowth: "Did you say Pay Day?"

(Meowth asks, looking uneasy.)

Mew: "Pay Day?"

(Mew says, confused.)

(Then the leader says.)

Ceremonial leader: "Yes. Now let the ceremony begin!"

(Mew then whispers to Meowth.)

Mew: "Meowth, have you ever used Pay Day, or any other moves before?"

Meowth: "Not really. I've been trying to learn how to talk so I didn't make time to learn other attacks."

(Meowth whispers.)

(Then asks.)

Meowth: "What should I do?"

Mew: "Well, you know what we kind of have to do."

(Mew says.)

(Meowth kind of understands and sighs.)

Meowth: "I guess you're right. They'll find out eventually."

Ceremonial leader: "Is there something wrong?"

(The leader asks.)

Meowth: "Um, you see uh, I don't really…"

(Meowth says, nervous.)

(Mew sits next to Meowth and pats him on the shoulder.)

Mew: "It's okay Meowth. I know it's difficult."

(Then Mew turns to the leader and Elder and explains.)

Mew: "You see, Meowth can't use Pay Day."

Ceremonial leader: "You can't?!"

(The leader asks, shocked.)

Meowth: "Unfortunately, I can't. I've never learned. I've spent so much time talking I never learned any other attacks. And I had no idea this ceremony would want me to use that attack."

(Meowth says.)

(Then lowers his head.)

Meowth: "I'm sorry."

(The villagers were not too happy.)

(but they can see how sorry Meowth is, especially since he has no knowledge of the ceremony.)

Mew: "I guess it's understandable because you were focusing on one thing and not thinking too much about the other. However, that doesn't mean it's too late to learn how to use Pay Day."

(Mew says.)

(Hearing that has the leader, Elder, and the villagers a little surprised, but interested.)

(Meowth becomes confused and looks at Mew.)

Meowth: "What do you mean? I've spent a lot of my energy talking, I haven't learned any other attack."

Mew: "I think you can still learn how to use Pay Day and maybe other attacks. You just need to have more confidence, and a little help."

(Mew says with a smile.)

(Then Meowth remembers and happily says.)

Meowth: "That's right, you know about Pokemon, attacks, and health more than anyone I've ever met. If anyone could help me learn how to use Pay Day, You can."

(The Elder asks.)

Village Elder: "Can you really help Great Meowth learn how to use Pay Day?"

Mew: "I would try, but that also depends."

(Mew says, and turns to Meowth.)

Mew: "Are you willing to try?"

(Meowth thinks a bit.)

(He actually does want to learn a new move.)

(He then answers.)

Meowth: "Alright, let's get training!"

(Suddenly, they hear a familiar voice.)

Large Meowth: "Meow Meow Meow? (Can I train too?)

(Mew, Mewoth and the leader turns to see the large Meowth hiding behind the platform and peeks out.)

Meowth: "Hello again, what are you doing here?"

(Meowth asks.)

Large Meowth: "Meow Meow Meow. Meow Meow Meow Meow" (I was listening, and wanted some help. I… I want to learn some attacks too…)

(Large Meowth says.)

Mew: "Sure. We can help you too."

(Mew says.)

(Large Meowth smiles.)

Village Elder: "Hmm, I didn't know about another Meowth on this island."

(The Elder says, a little surprised.)

Ceremonial leader: "I have to agree. I've never seen this Meowth on the Island."

Meowth: "That's because this Meowth is a little, well very shy. So he hides and watches you all from a distance. This Meowth wants to meet you, but was a little nervous."

(Meowth says.)

Mew: "Yeah. But maybe this can be a good opportunity as well, to help this Meowth as well."

(Mew says.)

Meowth: "Can he train with us?"

(Meowth replies.)

Village Elder: "Well, I don't see why not. Who knows, maybe you both can learn to use Pay Day."

(The Elder says.)

Ceremonial leader: "I agree,"

(The leader says with a nod.)

Meowth: "Then let's start training,"

(Meowth says.)

Large Meowth: "Meowth!" (Yeah!) Large

(Meowth says with a smile.)

(Soon, everyone is at the stadium.)

(all the villagers have gathered as the Leader and Elder are sitting on separate chairs than the others who are sitting on stone seats.)

(Mew, Meowth, and Large Meowth are in the middle of the battlefield.)

(Mew then turns to Meowth and Large Meowth.)

Mew: "Alright, the best way for you two to learn an attack is to battle and gain the experience. When a Meowth used Pay Day, it comes out from the charm on their heads."

Meowth: "I see."

(Meowth says.)

(Large Meowth nods his head in reply.)

Mew: "Alright, the first thing we can do is a demonstration on how to use Pay Day."

(Mew says, and takes out her Pokeballs.)

(Then throws it.)

Mew: "Alright Skitty, go!"

(The Pokeball soon opens and Skitty comes to you.)

Ceremonial leader: "Oh, great Meowth of Bounty, please gain your experience quickly so that you may learn to use Pay Day!"

(The leader says.)

(Soon everyone cheers and gives the Meowth confidence.)

(Meowth turns to Mew.)

Meowth: "You're sure it will work?"

Mew: "I'm sure,"

(Mew says.)

(Then turns to Skitty.)

Mew: "Alright Skitty, use Pay Day!"

(Skitty then begins to perform Pay Day.)

(Skitty raises her tail, and her tail glows.)

(Then small white balls appear around her tail, and are thrown to the wall, and coins come out and land on the ground.)

Meowth: "That's pretty cool."

(Meowth says.)

Mew: "Now, use Pay Day a few more times."

(Mew calls out.)

(Skitty performs Pay Day three more times.)

(and both Meowths pay close attention to how Skitty uses her Pay Day attack.)

Mew: "Alright, you two got it?"

(Mew asks.)

Meowth: "Yeah. I think we got it."

(Meowth says.)

Large Meowth: "Meow Meow," (We sure did.)

(Large Meowth says.)

Mew: "Now then, ready for some training?"

(Mew asks.)

Meowth: "We sure are," Meowth says.

(The Large Meowth nods his head.)

(Then Mew calls out to the leader.)

Mew: "Alright, we're ready."

Ceremonial leader: "Alright then, let the training!"

(The leader calls out.)

(And with that, the bars rise from the stadium to reveal two rather strong Pokemon.)

(much to the three's surprise.)

(One is a Nidoking, and the other is an Onix.)

Meowth: "I didn't expect this!"

(Meowth panics.)

Mew: "Don't be scared, Meowth. We can beat them if we work together."

(Mew says.)

Meowth: "Right,"

(Meowth says.)

(Just then, Nidoking begins to charge towards the two Meowth.)

Mew: "Meowth, you both need to dodge!"

(Mew calls out.)

(And both Meowth dodge the attack.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Alright, Meowth use, scratch on Nidoking. Large Meowth, use Cut on Onix!"

Meowth: "You got it."

(Meowth says.)

(Meowth then performs Scratch, but it doesn't have much effect.)

(Meowth quickly dodges the attack as he runs away.)

(The Large Meowth rushes and performs Cut on Onix, and it has a little more effect.)

(Just then, begins to perform an attack.)

Mew: "Meowth jump, it's going to use Poison Jab!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Meowth quickly jumps as Nidoking slams the Poison Jab to the ground.)

(Mew then calls out.)

Mew: "Meowth, use Bite!"

(Meowth then dives down and bites on Nidoking by the head.)

(Mew quickly turns her head to see the Onix chasing after Large Meowth.)

(Mew then calls out.)

Mew: "Quick, Meowth, us Night Slash!"

(Large Meowth then dodges Onix's tackle attack.)

(and performs Night Slash, and strikes at it with strong force.)

(Meanwhile, somewhere in the forest.)

(Mew's friends along with Jessie and James are still searching for Meowth.)

Jessie: "We've been walking for a while and no sign of Meowth or the twerpette."

(Jessie says.)

James: "Maybe they're not even on this island."

(James says.)

Misty: "Come on, we've been only on this island for fifteen minutes."

(Misty says, annoyed.)

Tracey: "They have to be here somewhere."

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "I'm sure we'll find them."

(Tomo says.)

(Back in the stadium, Mew along with Meowth and Large Meowth are still battling against the Nidoking and Onix.)

(Just then, Onix begins to perform Rock Throw.)

Mew: "Dodge guys, it's Rock Throw!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Both Meowths quickly dodge the attack.)

(Mew then calls out.)

Mew: "Quick, Large Meowth use Bubble Beam on Onix!

(Large Meowth then performs Bubble Beam and strikes at Onix, causing critical damage.)

(Just then, Nidoking charges Meowth the talking one.)

(Meowth soon finds himself cornered.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Meowth, it's time for you to try to use Pay Day! Try to concentrate hard on your charm!"

Meowth: "Are you sure, I'm ready?!"

(Meowth asks.)

Mew: "Trust me!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Reluctant, Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Okay."

(Meowth then closes his eyes and begins to concentrate as hard as he can as Nidoking charges closer.)

(Meowth struggles as he says.)

Meowth: "I can do it. I can do it. I can do it.

(Soon, Meowth's charm begins to glow.)

(Just then, Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Now Meowth, use Pay Day!"

Meowth: "Alright, here I go…"

(Meowth says.)

(Then calls out.)

Meowth: "PAY DAY!"

(With that, glowing round orbs come out of Meowth's charm and fly towards Nidoking.)

(All the round balls clash at Nidoking one by one, and coins pop out of then after every hit.)

(Soon, the leader, the Elder, and all the villagers become surprised.)

(Soon, coins begin to land on the battlefield.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Meowth, you did it! You've learned how to use Pay Day!"

Meowth: "I… I did…?"

(Meowth asks, opening his eyes.)

(Meowth becomes surprised to see the coins are on the ground.)

Meowth: "I… I DID IT!"

(Meowth happily cheers.)

(Then screams with happiness.)

Meowth:: "I CAN USE PAY DAY! I CAN USE PAY DAY!"

(But Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Quick Meowth, dodge!"

(Meowth looks to see Nidoking charging at it.)

(Meowth panics and quickly dodge the attack, and bumps into the Large Meowth.)

(Meowth turns to the large Meowth.)

Meowth: "Sorry pal."

large Meowth: "Meow Meow," (It's alright.)

(Large Meowth says.)

Mew: "Quick. Large Meowth, try to use Pay Day on Onix. Meowth, use Pay Day on Nidoking!"

(Mew calls out.)

Meowth: "Alright. Get a load of my new attack! Pay Day!"

(Meowth calls out.)

(He then begins to perform Pay Day and now he can use it perfectly.)

(The Large Meowth then concentrates and begins to perform Pay Day perfectly.)

Mew: "Alright! You just learned Pay Day too! You both are doing great!"

(Mew says.)

Large Meowth: "Meow meow!" "(Thanks!)

(Large Meowth says with a smile)

Meowth: "Yeah. Thanks twerpete,"

(Meowth says.)

(Mew rolls her eyes.)

Mew: "I have a name you know!"

(Just then, Nidoking and Onix begin to charge for both Pokemon.)

Mew: "Ready to finish this guys?"

(Mew asks.)

(Meowth turns to Mew.)

Meowth: "Kid, let's finish this."

Large Meowth: "Meow Meow!" (Let's go!)

(Large Meowth says.)

(Both Onix and Nidoking continue to charge for both Meowths.)

(Mew then calls out.)

Mew: "Alright you guys, Multiple Pay Day!"

(Meowth says.)

Meowth: "You got it! Pay Day!"

Large Meowth: "Meow! Meow Meow!" (Alright! Now, Pay Day)

(Large Meowth calls out.)

(With that, both Meowth perform Pay Day together and continue to create multiple glowing balls.)

(They strike at Nidoking and Onix, and then coins come out of both attacks.)

(There are multiple Pay Day coming out at once, that it stop the two Pokemon in their tracks.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Alright then, Large Meowth, use Double Edge on Onix! Meowth, use your Scratch attack!"

(Large Meowth then charges and collides with Onix, on the forehead.)

(Causing Onix to be thrown back and crashes to the ground.)

Meowth: "Alright, time to give it my Scratch Attack!"

(Meowth says, and charges to Nidoking.)

(Suddenly, Mewoth's claws glow and grow longer.)

(With that, Meowth slashes at Nidoking with full force.)

(Then, both Pokemon from either side are still standing and are exhausted.)

(Just then, the leader calls out.)

Ceremonial leader: "Alright, let the training come to a close!"

(Hearing that, the Pokemon decides to stop.)

(Both Meowth sit on the ground and feel tired.)

(Both Nidoking and Onix are called back to their Pokemon.)

Meowth: "Man, that was tiring, but it was really worth it. We both can use Pay Day."

(Meowth says.)

(Large Meowth says.)

Large Meowth: "Meow Meow." (We really did.)

(Meowth then picks up the coin to see that it is true.)

(They've both learned to use a new move.)

(The Village Elder cheers.)

Village Elder: "It worked!"

Ceremonial Leader: "It's true! The great Meowth of Bounty has finally used Pay Day!"

(The Ceremonial Leader happily says.)

(And with that, the villagers soon run onto the battlefield and start grabbing as many coils as they can.)

(Both Meowth then run to Mew to get away from the crowd.)

Meowth: "Wow. Look at them go."

(Meowth says.)

Mew: "They must really take their ceremony seriously."

(Mew says.)

Large Meowth: "Meow meow," (You said it.)

(Large Meowth replies.)

(After the ceremony, Meowth, Large Meowth, along with the villagers, return to the Meowth Statue.)

(The leader expresses his gratitude.)

Ceremonial Leader: "Oh great Meowth of Bounty, we cannot thank you enough for what you and your commerads have done."

Village Elder: "You have produced these coins, great ones, and so fulfilled the ancient prophecy!"

(The Elder says.)

(Soon, the elder pours the coins into a large bowl.)

Meowth: "Wow. Never thought we made so many coins during our battle."

(Meowth says.)

Large Meowth: "Meow Meow," (Yeah. Guess we didn't know our own strength.)

(Large Meowth says.)

(Then the Elder says.)

Village Elder: "Our people are entirely grateful."

Ceremonial Leader: "We would be most honored if you would stay here and rule us. Oh Great Meowth of Bounty."

(The Ceremonial Leader says.)

Mew and Meowth: "Stay here and rule?!"

(Mew and Meowth say in shock.)

(The two then look at each other.)

Mew: "Uh yeah, we kind of have a little problem."

(Mew says.)

Meowth: "You see, uh. It's a very nice offer, but excluding this Meowth who has lived here. The kid and I well…"

(Meowth begins to explain.)

Mew: "We really can't stay here. You see, we actually have friends who are looking for us, after an incident with a group of Gyarados, and we still need to look for them. We have our own lives to be honest."

(Mew explains.)

Meowth: "Yeah. As much as we like to help you, but we have friends and family. So we're sorry, but me and the kid can't stay."

(Meowth explains.)

(Then Mew turns to the Large Meowth.)

Mew: "But I think he doesn't mind staying."

(The Large Meowth walks over to the leader and rubs his head against his leg.)

(The leader smiles and picks up the Large Meowth.)

(The leader says.)

Ceremonial Leader: "I suppose you're right."

(Then turns to the Large Meowth.)

Ceremonial Leader: "So, do you want to stay with us."

Large Meowth: "Meow Meow," (Yes, I would love to.)

(The Large Meowth happily says with a nod.)

(Suddenly, they hear two familiar voices.)

???: "Meowth!"

???: "Mew!"

(Three familiar voices call out.)

(The group turns to see Misty, Tracey, Tomo, Jessie, James, and the other.)

(Meowth is very happy.)

Meowth: "Jessie! James!"

Jessie and James: "Meowth!"

(Jessie and James call out, relieved to see Meowth.)

(The three soon hug each other and begin to cry in tears.)

Mew: "You guys!"

(Mew happily calls out, and rushes over to her friends.)

Misty: "Mew, you're okay!"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "We were worried!"

(Tomo says.)

Tracey: "Are you okay?!"

(Tracey asks.)

Mew: "We're fine. Nothing too serious."

(Mew says.)

Misty: "Why do you look like a cat?"

(Misty asks.)

Mew: "Uh yeah. It's a long story, but we better get going. It's been a long day that we had."

(Mew says.)

(A little time later, Mew and her friends, and Team Rocket take their separate leaves.)

(Each of them say goodbye to the villagers, the leader, elder, and the Large Meowth.)

(And a lot has come out of the time Mew and Meowth have spent on the island.)

(Sometime later, Mew has explained to her friends what has happened, and it's surprising to say the least.)

Tracey: "I see. Those villagers believed that Meowth was brought to them to use Pay Day to bring them wealth."

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "And that you were his companion."

(Tomo adds.)

Misty: "I can't believe you battled with Meowth from Team Rocket of all Pokemon, and taught him how to use Pay Day."

(Misty replies.)

Mew: "I know, but Meowth seems happy, and is able to learn how to use two new moves: Pay Day and Furry Swipe."

(Mew says.)

Tracey: "Impressive. I'm surprised you haven't tried to capture Meowth or convince him to come with us."

(Tracey says.)

Mew: "Well, it's not my place to choose. Besides, mayne him learning new attacks will teach him a few things, especially if he wants to have another battle."

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "Maybe."

(Tomo replies.)

(Pikachu and Eevee look at each other and shrug their shoulders.)

(And so, the group continues to sail on Lapras and far from the island.)

(where both Mew and Meowth had another solo adventure together.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket are out fishing.)

(After the day and night they have, it's best to simply relax.)

(There, Meowth has explained to Jessie and James what has happened on the island.)

James: "So the twerpette helped you learn Pay Day?"

(James asks, a bit surprised.)

Meowth: "Yeah. And I actually learned Furry Swipe as well."

(Meowth says.)

Jessie: "Have to admit, the kid is an impressive trainer."

(Jessie says.)

Meowth: "Yeah. If she ever stops being a trainer, she sure will make a great teacher."

(Meowth says.)

James: "I have to agree, but I have to guess you just can't stop there."

(James says.)

Meowth: "Yeah. This day taught me that I need to battle more if I'm going to learn new attacks and get stronger."

(Meowth says.)

(He sighs.)

Meowth: "But for now, I think it will be good for me to relax a little while. That battle has me popped."

Jessie: "Yeah. Maybe we should have you battle more Pokemon to gain more experience, in future."

(Jessie says.)

James: "Well, if experiencing battling with the twerpette helped, maybe we should have you battle her more often."

(James says.)

Meowth: "Maybe,"

(Meowth says.)

(Meowth then lies down and decides to take a cat nap.)

(James and Jessie decide to do the same, after the long day they have.)
