Capítulo 50: Day Walkers III

Cora braced herself as she knew what was coming, unfortunately Margo wasn't privy to this knowledge. She tried to step in the way to protect her mate. She was just barely hit in the rib cage with the palm of Jared's hand which sent her flying into the wall. Luckily Cora had manage to push Margo back and she wasn't hit full force.

The next moment Cora was wrapped up in a tight hug while Jared growled at Margo quietly. Margo stood brushing herself off. She straightened her clothes and walked back to Cora's side. He would not keep her from her mate.

"Honey, I'm okay. Focus on me and stay calm." Cora told him softly.

"I thought those men got to you. I had terrible dreams." Jared grabbed at his throat as he spoke in a raspy tone.

"We're vampires now." Cora grinned at him concentrating to bring her teeth down.

Jared stared at her then tilted his head to the side in a non-human way. "Your eyes are blue." He clutched at his throat clearly in pain.
