CH 15 Quillbot Edit

Sitting upon Fenrir, who had surpassed the height of a war horse, he is getting into the territory of an elephant along with his mate Fenris and their children. Reagan looked down at those who had taken arms to come with him beyond the wall; they were all second sons or third sons of the Lords and their retainers. Everyone of them was divided into four groups with their own grey wolves to ride instead of horses.

The groups were led by Snow with Alys, Fenris with Lyanna, and finally Dawn was alone, leading the pack of ten wolves who were all riderless. These three packs were led by dual alphas, Fenrir and Reagan, with a pack of their own, as the wolves had already acknowledged Reagan as one of their alphas as he is the bond of Fenrir. Each pack consists of ten grey wolves, which are the same size as a normal horse, and their riders, who were armed to their teeth. The men all had a spear with them and a sword as a side weapon; they also held a large round shield.

There was a group of ten women led by Lyanna, holding a long mace and a round shield similar to his on her back, gifted by Reagan after their betrothal. Another group of ten women, led by Alys Stark, had her dual short swords that Reagan had given her as a gift on her tenth birthday. The women in both groups had round shields, a throwing axe, and an iron sword with them. In both groups, there were three women who held a bow as their main weapon, leaving the shield. All the wolves had rations that were needed for their travel, tents for sleeping at night, fur coats to cover themselves to resist the cold, and other things that would help them survive for at least two months in the wild.

Eyeing them all, he spoke up with a smile. "I promise you this. We will unite the First Men, who had been separated after the construction of the wall. We are not doing this for our glory or any other crap; we are making sure that our future generations won't have to fight the Others when they have their undead army with them. So make sure to be vigilant beyond the wall, obey the commands in the battle, and try not to be aggressive against those people who live beyond the wall. In the south, they say that the Northmen are hardened men; then, I am telling you, the people beyond the wall are much more hardened men than us, so don't take to heart what they say! Alright then, WINTERWOLVES! RIDE OUT"

"AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" Fenrir howled out loudly, and the Fenris, Snow, and Dawn howled out with him. ""AWOOOOOOOOOO""

"Awoooooooo!" All forty wolves howled out in unison, and the howling of wolves in the Wolfswood and from the four dire wolves inside the castle was heard.

With that as a statement to the world, Reagan and Fenrir were at the forefront of the pack, leading them to the north of Winterfell through the Royal Road, where the Wall and Night's Watch were waiting for them to cross into the land beyond the wall.

Back at the castle, his family watched on as they rode away swiftly, and watching them became only a dot after a couple of minutes. Sarra asked, "How many days do you think that they will return?"

Smiling at his wife as he picked up his youngest children, who had tears in their eyes, he replied to her question, "Those wolves can run three times faster than that of a normal horse. And they're traveling light, so I would say that they will reach Castle Black in six to eight days. But convincing the Children and Giants, if there are any left, and getting the loyalty of the Wildlings will take some time." He said this as they were walking back into the castle.

Sarra looked at her husband and asked him, "So even you don't believe in the Children and Giants?"

Shaking his head, he told her, "I do believe them; it's just that I'm not sure if there are any left. And even if there is, I don't think that they will accept an offer to come south of the wall."

Summoning one of the maids who were walking behind them, Brandon handed the twins to them and told the maids, "Let them rest with their wolves. It will calm them down."

"Yes, my King." The maids bowed to him and went away with the twins and their dire wolves.

With his wife, he went into the solar in silence, and when they reached the solar, Brandon told Sarra to sit down while he went and grabbed a drink. Sitting down on his seat, Brandon spoke up. "Did you ever wonder why our son was eager to go to the south and beyond the wall at the age of two?"

"Yeah, I had thought of it as chillish ramblings." Sarra was confused by what Brandon was trying to say.

Shaking his head, he told her, "I have had these thoughts since he started to talk. He always had the right words, his plans for the future, his physical might, the dire wolves—all of it is weird for a boy just past his sixth name day."

Squinting her eyes, she asked, "What are you trying to say?"

Smiling at her, he said, "He thinks he has fooled everyone, but he hasn't, though. We both know that he's out of the norm in our world."

Squinting her eye, Sarra asked dangerously, "Are you saying that my baby is an abomination?"

Shaking his head, he replied to her question, "Abomination? No. Someone who has lived once? Yes."

"Brandon. Even if this is a fiction of your imagination, you have gone too far." Sarra said as she stood up.

Brandon just started at her, and a few seconds later he spoke, this time with a grave voice: "There are powers that are mysterious in the Stark blood from Brandon the Builder himself. After that, we conquered the whole North and integrated many families into ours. There is one magical blood that was introduced to our blood line a few thousand years ago. The blood of the Marsh Kings flows through us, giving us the ability to go green." Gulping down the liquor, he looked back at his wife, who was still standing. "What I mean is, our son might be a Grenseer, and he has lived more years than us through his ability at the tender age of one."

Slowly sitting down, Sarra said, "I'm sorry. I knew that he was different from other kids, but I thought that it was his quirk."

Smiling at his wife, Brandon said, "Even if he has lived more than us and more than we know, he's still our son. No matter what."

Sarra nodded her head, wiped some tears from her eyes, and asked, "Is this expedition something that he wanted to go on?"

Nodding his head, Brandon said, "I think so. I believe Reagan has seen something from the future. He must have seen something terrible happen to the North at the hands of the South and the Wildlings. From the looks of it, he's trying to divert the future of the North." Smiling proudly, he continued, "And it seems like one of the threats will be stopped by our son, as he has been forming an elite school under his command and making them train the younger ones. It seems like he is preparing the greatest army in Westeros to fend off someone. It is either the White Walkers or the Lords from the south. We'll see in the future, right, my son?"

The last part was addressed to the thin air, and Sarra looked at him as if he had lost his mind. 'Well, he was always like this. Acting mysterious and what not.'
