"Wait a moment!"
Just when Gaara and the three were about to leave, Naruto suddenly came out and called to them.
"Are you just planning to leave like this?" Naruto asked.
As the eldest brother of Konohamaru and the others, Kazuki and his group couldn't seek justice for Konohamaru, but Naruto could!
Kankuro looked at the yellow-haired kid who didn't even have a forehead protector and sneered, "What do you want? If you want to die, I'll help you!"
"Damn you! You're so arrogant after hitting someone. Stop looking down on people! Shadow Clone Technique!"
Naruto immediately summoned four or five shadow clones, surrounding Kankuro and the others as if he wanted to teach them a lesson.
Kankuro and the other two were surprised to see Naruto using the Shadow Clone Technique.
This humble kid could actually use a technique usually reserved for Jonin?
"Hey, yellow-haired brat, what's your status in Konoha? Chuunin?"
Naruto's goofy demeanor didn't match a Jonin, so Kankuro could only guess he was a Chuunin with special abilities, probably not wearing his forehead protector out of habit.
But Naruto's answer made his jaw drop!
"I'm a sixth-year student at Konoha Ninja School!"
"And I'm not just some yellow-haired kid. My name is Uzumaki Naruto!"
"What? You're a student of the ninja academy?" Temari exclaimed, snatching the chance to speak first in shock.
"How is that possible? You're still just a student?"
Kankuro couldn't believe that someone like Naruto Uzumaki, who could use Jonin-level jutsu, was still just a student.
And such a student couldn't graduate early? Is Konoha filled with so many talented ninjas, or is the academy's assessment that strict?
Gaara frowned, feeling both shocked and excited.
He rarely found worthy opponents in Sunagakure, but here in Konoha, he found one so easily. How many powerful ninjas were hidden in this small village?
"Kankuro, apologize."
"Huh?"
"I said, apologize. Now."
The more he sensed Konoha's strength, the more excited Gaara became.
He was afraid he'd lose control and ruin their plan, so he needed Kankuro to back down.
Reluctantly, and under Gaara's intimidating gaze, Kankuro approached Konohamaru and bowed.
"Sorry!"
With that cold apology, Kankuro was about to leave.
But Naruto wouldn't let him go that easily. "Konohamaru hasn't forgiven you yet, and you think you can just walk away?"
"Don't push your luck, kid. Don't think I'm afraid of you!" Kankuro snapped angrily.
Konohamaru and his friends, scared of Kankuro, pulled on Naruto's clothes. "Naruto, let it go. He already apologized."
"Don't be afraid. Unless you truly forgive him, he's not going anywhere!"
Naruto, enjoying his moment of playing the hero, felt proud of standing up for others.
But Kankuro was frustrated.
As the Kazekage's son and a talented puppeteer, he was used to being respected. Only his brother Gaara, sister Temari, father Rasa, and master Maki intimidated him.
And now, a brat who hadn't even graduated was challenging him? He was about to lose it!
"Kankuro, hurry!"
Gaara's cold voice brought Kankuro back to his senses.
As a flawed Jinchuuriki, Gaara couldn't fully control the One-Tail within him, leading to his insomnia.
Losing sleep, losing his beloved mother, ignored by his father, and shunned by the village, Gaara's psyche was disturbingly warped.
If you disobeyed him, he'd kill you without hesitation!
"Fine!"
Kankuro sighed deeply and apologized again. "I'm sorry, please forgive me!"
Konohamaru glanced at Kankuro's insincere apology and decided not to prolong the encounter.
"Alright, I forgive you. You can go."
Kankuro stood up, glaring at Naruto before turning away.
Naruto didn't mind; he dismissed his shadow clones and let them leave.
After all, this was Konoha. Outsiders wouldn't dare to cause too much trouble.
"These guys from other villages are so unruly in ours. It's disgusting!" Moegi grumbled.
"Thank goodness for Brother Naruto, or we'd have been in real trouble," Udon added.
"I also have to thank Brother Sasuke and Brother Kazuki. If they hadn't intimidated the leader, things wouldn't have been this easy," Moegi analyzed.
Speaking of Kazuki and Sasuke, they were no longer around.
They had casually saved Konohamaru, but their real purpose was to observe Gaara.
"I don't want to thank them. If not for Brother Naruto, that painted-face man wouldn't have apologized!"
Naruto, basking in the praise, laughed loudly. "Hahahaha, Konohamaru is right, I'm the best!"
Though Moegi didn't fully agree, Kazuki and Sasuke's lack of loyalty left them unworthy of her defense.
Back in Konoha Park, Sasuke was thrilled after meeting Gaara.
Kazuki hadn't lied; Gaara was indeed an opponent worth facing.
But unfortunately, Kazuki mentioned they were here for the Chuunin Exam.
The real battle would only come during the exam.
"It's really annoying how these three are causing chaos in the village. When the Chuunin Exam comes, I'll definitely put them in their place!" Sakura fumed.
Sakura had seen everything from the park and was furious at their behavior. Confident in her own abilities, she was eager to prove herself in the Chuunin Exam.
"By the way, Kazuki, how did you know they were here for the Chuunin Exam? Even Kakashi-sensei didn't tell us that." Sakura asked curiously.
Kazuki smirked, putting a finger to his lips. "Shhh~ Just a little gossip."
Sasuke didn't care for gossip; all he wanted was to sign up for the Chuunin Exam and fight Gaara!
"Let's go find Kakashi-sensei and sign up for this year's Chuunin Exam!"
