Capítulo 114: Ambush

Arrows continued to fall in relentless and unforgiving waves, tearing through the ranks of the Dreadshade Coven. What had been a disciplined force of five hundred was quickly reduced to chaos.

The soldiers scrambled to defend themselves but it was futile. Some managed to raise magical shields or deflect the arrows with their weapons but the sheer volume of the attack was overwhelming. The air was thick with the sounds of arrows slicing through flesh, pained cries, and the dull thuds of bodies hitting the ground.

It was a massacre.

Blood stained the green grass and the yard that had once been a training ground for Asgard's warriors now became a graveyard for the Coven's forces. The few survivors clung desperately to life struggling to mount a defense amidst the slaughter.

They conjured barriers of dark energy and summoned protective wards, but the onslaught was too much for them and already too many had fallen.
