Capítulo 33: Investigate

Did he remember? 

Raven's heart skipped a beat. It had been a long time since he heard Dwayne's soft voice called him "big brother."

It had been many years, and Raven's appearance had changed. His eyes were sharper now, and the skinny emaciated body he had as a child was gone, replaced by well-developed muscles.

With a shaky breath, Raven leaned down and gently caressed Dwayne's hair.

The feeling of Dwayne's brown curls feel good in his fingers. It was as silky and smooth as he remembered.

Raven repeatedly open and close his mouth. When he had gathered enough courage, he finally spoke.

"Dwayne, can you recognize me?"

Raven's cold gaze searched Dwayne's peach-blossom eyes, his heart racing with anticipation. 

But disappointment quickly followed when Dwayne drifted back to sleep, his lips still murmuring, "Big brother... Big brother…"
