He hadn't used Selene's Throwing Knife yet, and there were plenty of other things he could throw or restrain Ariel with, it was just that almost everything hhe could use needed a little bit of waiting.

After all, he couldn't shout "STOP FIGHTING I WILL PUT TRAPS!" at Ariel, could he?
