Capítulo 203: Chapter 201: Emma Roberts

###

After seeing off Katherine and Emma Stone, Link continued his training at the boxing gym, when another Emma, Emma Roberts, showed up.

During their last shoot, Emma Roberts mentioned wanting to learn boxing from him and even planned to film a training video to upload on YouTube for a giveaway. Link thought she was joking and didn't refuse.

But by noon, Emma Roberts really arrived.

Dressed in a limited edition Nike boxing training outfit, pink boxing gloves, a white sports bra showing off her slender, pale midriff, and tight-fitting sports shorts, Emma looked quite stylish. Her legs were slim and almost cartoonish.

Though Emma was petite with little in the way of chest or hips, her delicate features and fair skin gave her a youthful appearance.

Under his guidance, Emma trained on the heavy bag for half an hour, sweating and panting, her hair sticking to her sweaty face, looking rather delicate.

"Link, isn't it boring to train like this all the time?"

Emma asked, sitting on the sofa with a water bottle, watching him continue to hit the heavy bag.

"It is a bit boring, but if you don't train like this, you won't win the matches."

Link replied while hitting the bag.

Emma nodded, her gaze lingering on his strong arms. His fists struck the bag with a heavy thud, as if it might burst open any moment.

Emma walked over and stood beside him, asking, "How long do you train every day?"

"More than four hours."

"Four hours? I was exhausted after just ten minutes."

Emma stuck out her tongue.

"You're a beginner, ten minutes is already great."

Emma smiled slightly, brushing the hair off her face, putting her gloves back on, and moved to the white heavy bag beside Link. She began hitting the bag following his instructions.

Her arms were slender, and her punches lacked power, making little impact on the bag.

"Link, I'm here! Oh, who's this little girl?"

Morales, wearing a training vest, walked in.

Morales was from Northern California and had previously trained in Los Angeles, making him more familiar with the city than Link. He had introduced Link to this Muscle Beach Boxing Club.

Link introduced the two, then went to spar with Morales.

Morales had competed in the Golden Gloves Boxing Championship in June, defeating his old rival Andrade in the final to win the Super Middleweight Championship.

After the Golden Gloves, Morales signed with Golden Boy Promotions, preparing to turn professional later this year.

With his current skill level, he had the potential to become an international champion, though he still needed to work hard to become an intercontinental champion.

In the sparring session, Link played the aggressor, constantly attacking Morales's head. Morales focused on defense, wearing a sponge headguard and trying to avoid Link's blows.

Link's goal was to break through Morales's defense and land punches on his head.

Morales needed to defend with all his might, trying to neutralize Link's attacks.

As long as he could do that, few could break his defense in a professional match.

However, Link's punching speed was too fast, and his combination punch technique was so refined that it was difficult to defend against.

After more than an hour of sparring, Morales had taken over twenty punches to the head, but fortunately, Link had eased up, so he hadn't been knocked out.

"Link, I had a match with Hoya yesterday."

Morales sat by the ring, wiping his sweat.

"How did it go?"

"He's very fast and agile. In twelve rounds, I was knocked down twice, but I wasn't knocked out and managed to finish all twelve rounds."

"Sounds pretty good."

Hoya had beaten middleweight champion Vargas in 2002 and was quite formidable.

For an amateur like Morales to last twelve rounds with him was impressive.

"Hoya also asked about you, wondering if he fought you, what chance he'd have of winning. I said less than 1%. He didn't believe me and said there was at least a 30% chance, so I told him to try."

Morales chuckled.

Link smiled lightly. "1% is indeed exaggerated. Though Hoya is past his prime, he still has about 70% of his ability left, so I'd need to be cautious in a match against him."

"He definitely can't beat you."

Morales laughed.

After a short break, the two continued sparring until late afternoon, when training ended.

As Link was packing up, he noticed two slender, pale legs with strawberry nail art, less than a palm's width, on the sofa—belonging to Emma Roberts.

She was lying on the sofa, covered with a towel, her gloves still on. She had closed her eyes, her long lashes brushing her delicate cheeks, resembling a doll.

"Hey, Emma, wake up!"

"Link, you're done training?"

Emma rubbed her eyes and sat up. "I thought you'd already left."

Link helped her take off her boxing gloves and put them in her sports bag.

"I was feeling a bit sleepy watching you train, so I ended up falling asleep here."

Emma stretched and said.

"Well, next time let me know, or I might forget you here."

Link helped her stand up.

After they both showered and changed, Link drove her back to her Beverly Hills villa.

The villa, covering about 5,000-6,000 square feet, had large green lawns and cedar trees. Link met her guardian and aunt, Julia Roberts, for the first time.

Although both were cast members of "Valentine's Day," their storylines were unrelated, and the filming locations were different, so this was Link's first time meeting Julia Roberts.

Once the queen of Hollywood, Julia Roberts now looked older, dressed in a simple T-shirt, loose casual pants, and slippers, with a cigarette in her mouth and no makeup.

Julia Roberts was surprised to see him and invited him for coffee. Link declined, citing the late hour, and drove away.

"Goodbye, Link!"

Emma Roberts waved at the car.

Julia Roberts frowned and asked, "Emma, you told me you were going to hang out with friends. Why were you with Link?"

"Link is also my friend. Is there a problem?"

Emma shrugged and walked toward the villa.

"What were you doing with Link?"

Julia asked, following her.

"Just boxing training!"

"Really? I didn't know you liked boxing."

Julia seemed puzzled.

"You don't know many things."

"Just training in boxing?"

"Yes."

Emma entered the villa's living room, placing her bag on the rack, and walked barefoot on the floor.

"You just showered. Emma, you better be honest about what you did with Link."

Julia grabbed her wrist, speaking seriously.

"Isn't it normal to train and then shower?"

Emma looked at her strangely.

"Really just that?"

"Otherwise, what do you think? That Link and I had some intimate moments at the gym? You're thinking too much."

Emma rolled her eyes, shook off Julia's hand, and went to the changing room.

Julia shook her head, calling into the house, "Emma, I just want to remind you that Link has a girlfriend. Being a third party isn't a good thing."

"But you and Danny are very happy."

Emma said with a mischievous smile, removing her T-shirt.

Julia was instantly furious, feeling like she wanted to grab Emma and give her a spanking.

Julia's current husband, Danny Moda, had been married with a newborn child before their relationship, but quickly divorced after starting to date Julia. This had caused a lot of controversy at the time, but Julia didn't care, as long as she found true love, the criticism didn't bother her much.

Now Emma was using this to counter Julia, leaving her speechless.

"Emma, Taylor is your friend!"

Julia emphasized.

"Got it, I'm just training with Link. I'm not trying to ruin their relationship."

Emma waved her hand nonchalantly.

"You better remember your words."

Julia pointed at her, closed the door, and instructed the maid to prepare more food.

Thanks to the book friend "Fireworks Easy Cold," for the support.
