Capítulo 7: Chapter 7: The encounter with Harry, Draco’s transformation!

As if by fate.

The moment Harry Potter entered, Draco turned his head.

Their eyes met!

A fateful encounter!

Argus couldn't help but feel emotional inside.

Indeed, Draco and Harry are the real pair!

Ginny is just a third wheel!

[Congratulations to the host for meeting Harry Potter. Achievement unlocked: Meeting the Savior]

Wow, just meeting Harry Potter earns an achievement?

It looks like coming to Hogwarts was definitely the right choice!

"Hello dear! Here to buy your Hogwarts school robes?" Madam Malkin spoke before Harry could. "We have plenty here, and there are two boys fitting right now."

At this moment, Harry Potter was still under the shadow of the Dursleys, exuding a sense of self-consciousness.

After getting his measurements, he quietly walked towards Argus and Draco.

"Are you a new student at Hogwarts too?" Draco asked curiously, eyeing Harry.

"Y-yes."

"Do you have your own broomstick? Have you ever played Quidditch?"

"Do you know which house you'll be sorted into? I'm sure I'll be in Slytherin!"

"My father said..."

"Draco!" Argus noticed Harry's discomfort and interrupted Draco's rambling.

He gave Harry a slightly apologetic smile.

"I'm sorry, Draco is just a bit too excited today. I apologize on his behalf."

"N-No problem!"

Argus's warm and polite demeanor immediately won Harry's favor.

Compared to Draco's haughty tone, he preferred this elegant boy in front of him.

More importantly, since arriving at Diagon Alley, everyone had been looking at him like he was a rare animal.

Except for this elegant boy!

"My name is Argus, Argus Grindelwald, and this is Draco Malfoy."

"Harry Potter! Just call me Harry."

"You are Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived!" Draco exclaimed, drawing the attention of those around them and causing Harry to frown.

Hagrid, hearing the commotion inside, quickly walked in.

"What's wrong, Harry?"

"Nothing, Hagrid. I'm just chatting with some new friends."

"That's good to hear. So these are your friends?" Hagrid said with a big smile, extending his hand to greet Argus and Draco.

"Hello, young wizards!"

"Hello, Mr. Hagrid. I've heard a lot about you, Hogwarts' gamekeeper and an expert on magical creatures," Argus said, smiling and bowing slightly.

Argus had a favorable impression of Hagrid, the master of magical creatures at Hogwarts. After all, who could refuse a generous hidden benefactor?

Seeing Harry looking at him with admiration, Hagrid bashfully scratched his head.

"I-I'm just a gamekeeper who likes to take care of magical creatures."

"A servant of Hogwarts! What kind of expert is that!" Draco's deeply ingrained pure-blood beliefs made him highly disdainful of someone like Hagrid, a half-giant. Seeing his two new friends show Hagrid such respect, he couldn't help but sneer.

Upon hearing this, Harry's expression immediately turned cold, and Hagrid looked uncomfortable, his large hands fumbling awkwardly.

"Draco! Apologize to Hagrid!"

Argus's expression was more serious than ever.

Draco might have sensed his friend's anger, but he didn't think he had said anything wrong. His youthful pride made him unwilling to back down.

"I told the truth! Why should I apologize to a half-giant?"

"Insulting a friend's companion in public—this is the upbringing of the Malfoy family?"

Argus's eyes were cold.

To be honest, he really didn't want to play the babysitter, but Draco was an important piece in his future plans. Through Draco, he could open the door to the Malfoy family, formally enter the circle of British pure-blood families, and influence the younger generation of pure-blood families, spreading his own ideas.

With Draco's current state, it was impossible for him to achieve Argus's intended goals. Therefore, Draco's views needed correction.

"Alright, Argus, I'm really just a gamekeeper. There's no need to get angry," Hagrid hurriedly interjected, trying to calm Argus down.

He had a great impression of this young wizard and didn't want to cause a rift between him and his friends because of himself.

After being at Hogwarts for so many years, this was the first time someone had stood up for him.

This made him feel both moved and a bit guilty.

Argus waved his hand, standing in front of Hagrid. "All people are born equal. No one has the right to insult others."

He then turned to face Draco.

"Do you think, because you are a pure-blood from one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight families, that you are superior to others?"

"Especially when facing half-breeds like Hagrid, you look down on them from the bottom of your heart!"

"I... I didn't..."

Draco stammered, unable to meet Argus's gaze.

"Listen, Draco!" Argus's eyes locked onto Draco's.

"Being pure-blood is never a reason for you to feel superior!"

"A wizard's true nobility lies not in their bloodline but in their heart!"

"Maybe they don't have a pure lineage, maybe they don't have abundant wealth, or perfect manners."

"But as long as they have a noble heart, they are a noble wizard!"

Argus glanced at the confused Draco and continued.

"A noble heart will show kindness and compassion even to the lowliest slave, and will exhibit bravery and fearlessness even in the face of the most powerful enemy."

"For the pursuit and exploration of magic, contributing one's own strength to the wizarding world."

"That is true nobility!"

Argus's words plunged Draco into deep confusion.

At just eleven years old, he had not yet been thoroughly corrupted by the decaying ideology of the older pure-blood generation.

He still held beautiful fantasies about the world and had hopes for the future.

Argus's words awakened the innocence and hope deep within him.

Harry, on the other hand, looked on with admiration.

"Well said!" Hagrid exclaimed, clapping his hands enthusiastically.

As a half-giant, he had faced countless instances of discrimination throughout his life.

Argus's speech undoubtedly gave him hope for a future of harmony and equality in the magical world.

"I can't believe a child of eleven would say such things. Argus, you're destined to become a remarkable figure in the wizarding world!"

Draco's face flushed with shame. "Argus, I... I..."

Argus stepped forward and patted his shoulder.

"Draco, you've received a good education and are the future heir of the Malfoy family. The burden you carry is not just the honor and glory of your family, but also the responsibility and duty towards the wizarding world."

"Apologizing is not shameful. On the contrary, knowing you're wrong but refusing to change, leading to lifelong regret, is what is truly sad."

"Do you understand?"

Draco remained silent for a while, then slowly lifted his head to look at Hagrid.

"Mr. Hagrid... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have... shouldn't have..."

"It's okay! Little guy, you have a very good friend, hahaha!"

Hagrid's hearty laughter rang out.

His straightforward personality meant he never held grudges over a single comment.

Especially not from a child!

"Young wizards, your robes are ready. Would you like to try them on?"

Madam Malkin's arrival interrupted their conversation.

"No need to try them on, please just pack them up. If we can't trust Madam Malkin's craftsmanship, there might not be any clothes in England worth wearing!"

"Hahaha, thank you for the compliment, young wizard."

Argus's words made Madam Malkin laugh heartily.

Thanks to Argus, they all received a nice discount on their school robes.

As they left the robe shop, Harry planned to buy his wand, but since Argus and Draco had already completed their purchases, they didn't accompany him.

As they were about to part ways, Harry kept looking back with every step.

"A-Argus, we're friends, right?"

"Of course, Harry!" Argus maintained his gentle smile.

"Really! Then can I write to you after I get back?"

"You're always welcome to!"

"And me too!" Draco interjected into their conversation.

"I'll write to you as well!"

After Harry and Hagrid left, seeing the transition in Draco's gaze from thoughtful to resolute, Argus was completely reassured.

Great, now the Malfoy family is truly onboard his ship.

A ship they wouldn't be able to leave, no matter what.
