She stammered for a long time without being able to say a word, seemingly unsure of how to express herself. It was harder for her to swallow her pride than to climb to the heavens.

"If you don't want me to let go, then give me the photo," Blanché said, extending her hand.

Laisley thought for a moment and gritted her teeth, handing it over. "Here! You adulterous whore!"

Blanché did not take kindly to those words.

"Laisley, do you really think I can't do anything to you?" Blanché looked at her. "I'm not someone of status or importance, and I don't care about reputation, but you are different."

Laisley felt a chill run down her spine; it turned out that when pushed to the limit, people could do anything.

"You better let me go. If Alan finds out I'm missing, he'll come looking for you."

That sounded strange. Laisley didn't think she held that kind of weight in Alan's mind.
