Since, Rae had already given sufficient time to Ekaros. He left after looking around for Lisa. She was not around when he was negotiating terms with Ekaros.

So, there was no reason for him to waste his time with those unfortunate men.

"Sir Rae, I have a message for you." Two days after the negotiation with the Viscount, he got another message from the guard who had presented him with the note in the first day at the door. 

'Finally, You could not hold any longer Ian!' Rae thought as looked into the message that the guard had handed him over.

"A meeting.... Why though? He wants to meet me when I haven't even completed his task. Alright then." The letter contained the location where he was supposed to visit to meet with the guy.
