Capítulo 268: Chapter 271 Summoning [Edited]

Rin's knowledge about magecraft was truly frightening. Even though she focused on Jewel magecraft, she was also pretty good at other paths too.

Sullivan learned so much under her tutelage.

"Magecraft It is the ability to bring about what is possible through Science with supernatural means; although the process is considered a miracle, the result is not. The limits of Magecraft have changed with time as science evolved and Magic from the past became possible through Science."

Rin explained to Sullivan that modern magecraft is a powerful practice that combines scientific principles with supernatural abilities.

She emphasized that while the process may seem miraculous, the results are not beyond the realm of possibility.

Additionally, Rin mentioned that magecraft has evolved over time alongside advancements in science, allowing for the realization of magical practices from ancient times through scientific means.

"There exists no impossibility for Modern Magecraft within the rules of the world and limits of human intellect; there are limitations, however, where it only appears that something is possible. Because Magecraft acts as the reenactment of preexisting phenomena, it is impossible to use it to create new Mysteries; even with an infinite amount of research, there exists a "wall" preventing human wisdom from doing so in the current era. The realm past this "wall" is known as magic."

Rin suddenly looked at Sullivan seriously. He knew why she looked at him, though.

"Modern Magecraft is inferior to that from the Age of Gods in terms of magnitude because Magi from that era had acquired their Magical Energy from the Swirl of the Root directly. The difference between Modern and Traditional Magecraft is explainable by the difference in civilizations - while the civilization of the Age of Gods existed side-by-side with the Truth, the civilization of the Age of Man exists in order to search for the Truth."

The Swirl of the Root was a boundless source of Magical Energy that allowed the Magi from the Age of Gods to perform incredible feats.

In contrast, Modern Magecraft relies on more limited sources, such as ley lines and personal reserves, resulting in a decrease in overall power and magnitude.

The shift from a civilization that coexisted with the Truth to one that seeks it reflects the changing priorities and goals of humanity over time.

As Sullivan learned more about Magecraft of the Nasuverse. He couldn't help but think that The magic in the Harry Potter Universe was bullshit. There were almost no principles behind it, only intent and how to pronounce it.

Sullivan thought really hard. What seemed impossible in the Nasuverse seemed possible in the others.

How? He really wanted to know. Who was the one who set those rules?

Sullivan's curiosity grew as he pondered the origins of these different magical systems. He wondered if there was a higher power or entity responsible for establishing the rules in each universe or if they simply emerged naturally through the collective beliefs and desires of its inhabitants.

'This is really hard.'

Sullivan sighed. He didn't like rules in general. He felt like he was going to break it no matter what.

"Here's  how to summon a servant. I am going to teach you the summoning ritual."

Rin then told Sullivan how to summon a servant. In order to summon a servant. He needed a catalyst for each servant to be placed in the center of the circle of summoning.

The catalyst could be an item of personal significance to the servant, such as a treasured possession or a symbol representing their abilities.

Once the catalyst was placed, Sullivan would need to recite the incantation, channeling his intentions and desires into the ritual.

This would create a connection between Sullivan and the servant, allowing them to be summoned. It was crucial for Sullivan to focus his energy and maintain a strong belief in the success of the ritual, as doubt or wavering intentions could weaken the summoning process.

Normally. They needed the mana from the holy grail for them to be able to reach the throne of heroes, but as Rin observed him, He didn't seem to lack mana. In fact, he had too much! It was like he was the holy grail itself!

"Do you understand everything now?"

Rin didn't have anything to teach him anymore and didn't have to worry that he didn't have enough mana.

He learned everything like a sponge. All he needed to do now was create a summoning circle and find the catalyst. For the intent and how to proceed, she knew that Sullivan would be able to do it easily.

Sullivan nodded. He now had enough knowledge to try to summon the servants he needed. as for the catalyst and the summoning circle. He didn't have to do anything, as he could just create it.

"I am going to do it right now. Is that okay for you?"

Sullivan asked Rin if it was okay for him to start summoning someone at her mansion. Rin thought about it for a bit, then nodded.

"Thank you, and I assure you. even If the mansion was destroyed and you were dead. I can fix it and bring you back to life."

Hearing the first few words, she felt nothing much, but the middle and the last part made her want to say something. but

Sullivan started to create a summoning circle and then conjured a red spear that made Rin feel a shiver run down her spine.

She recognized that spear immediately. Even though it had only one tenth of its original power, it was still a divine artifact.

"Is that Gae Bulg?"

Sullivan didn't stop there. He just threw a few more things inside the other two summoning circles he just made.

"H-He intends to summon three servants at the same time! He is crazy!"

Rin's heart almost popped out of her chest as she realized what Sullivan was attempting to do. The summoning of three servants simultaneously was an incredibly dangerous and reckless feat.

She couldn't help but try to stop him, but it was already too late. The summoning was complete!
