Capítulo 113: Chp-113: The Ninja Who Creates Miracles

Konohagakure

In the Hokage's office, Hiruzen Sarutobi was momentarily lost in thought, staring blankly out the window. On his desk lay an open scroll containing the latest battlefield intelligence.

Surpassing Han in taijutsu, a nearly hundred-meter tall metal giant, suppressing the Five-Tails, and a massive explosion killing over a hundred Iwa-nin...

The words on the scroll conveyed one shocking piece of news after another, crashing into his mind and leaving him momentarily dazed and incredulous.

Prodigy? Monster?

Since the war began, Satoru Hyūga's performance has been astonishing. Sarutobi struggled to find the right words to describe it. He had thought defeating the newly appointed Kazekage Rasa was already an incredible achievement, but it turned out that was just the beginning.

Did he defeat the Five-Tails head-on? A nearly hundred-meter-tall metal giant...

It seemed to be called the "Mountain-Splitting Void..."

One look and he knew it had Minato's style written all over it. Sarutobi couldn't help but feel like chuckling; while Minato was reliable in most aspects, his naming skills left much to be desired.

His eyes narrowed slightly, filled with intense curiosity. What exactly is his Magnet Release? Is there really such a thing as Universal Magnetic Release?

As someone who had personally experienced the era of Hashirama Senju, the God of Shinobi, Sarutobi knew that even at Satoru's age, Hashirama hadn't been so terrifying. This realization made him anxious.

However, he remained confident that if they fought head-on, he would still emerge victorious with some effort. While the Five-Tails was powerful, all the Kage-level ninjas had dealt with tailed beasts before. Aside from the unlucky deposed Kazekage Rasa, other Kazekages had subdued the One-Tail, and the Third Raikage of Kumogakure had even beaten down the Eight-Tails.

If the Nine-Tails weren't so strong, I should have been able to subdue it a few times myself.

Sarutobi thought this to himself. What shocked him was Satoru's talent, and he realized that Satoru had not yet reached his full potential. In a few more years, who could suppress him?

Unfortunately, he is from the branch family.

Sarutobi's expression became complicated, filled with a sense of indescribable emotion. In the Hyūga clan, being part of the branch family meant that one's destiny was more or less predetermined. Regarding Satoru, Sarutobi both hoped he would grow stronger to end the war quickly and feared he might become too strong to control.

That's human nature.

However, Satoru's status as part of the branch family rendered all his worries and hopes futile. "Have the eligible girls from the Sarutobi clan been selected yet?" Sarutobi murmured to himself. "No matter what, after this battlefield ends, we must ensure his bloodline is passed on. That miraculous Magnet Release..."

With the smoking pipe clenched between his teeth, Sarutobi gazed out the window in melancholy, the swirling smoke making his face indistinct.

In the command tent, bursts of hearty laughter could be heard.

"Hahaha! That old Ōnoki must be fuming with rage this time!"

"After fighting for so long, this was the most satisfying battle yet!"

Jiraiya's boisterous laughter echoed in the tent, and the high-ranking officers exchanged glances, smiling knowingly. Their eyes almost simultaneously glanced subtly at the figure with pure white eyes.

Satoru Hyūga, sitting calmly, did not seem excited by his achievements. He sat peacefully in his seat, unfazed. Despite several days having passed since the battle, the shock it brought had not diminished. Whether it was suppressing the tailed beast or the powerful metal giant, each event had repeatedly challenged their understanding.

Satoru Hyūga, the ninja who creates miracles!

This was the title many Leaf ninjas in the camp had given him. Now, simply mentioning his name in the camp would elicit cheers.

"Currently, there's no movement from Iwa-nin, but we cannot let our guard down. Once our ninjas have rested, it's time to launch a counterattack."

Jiraiya placed his hands on the sand table in front of him, a sharp gleam in his eyes. Han had been severely injured and would likely be out of commission for a while. Now, the Leaf's high-end combat power surpassed Iwa-nin's. With momentum, seizing the opportunity might just end the war prematurely!

War...

Jiraiya couldn't help but feel a bit melancholic, old memories resurfacing. It was during the Second Shinobi World War, before he had earned the title of Sannin, that he first understood the harsh realities of war. As an outsider in the Land of Rain, he had witnessed numerous brutal scenes.

Rain, blood...

Right, he had also taken in three adorable apprentices back then. How were they doing now? Jiraiya thought of Konan in her frog costume, smiling absentmindedly.

At that moment, the door of the command tent suddenly opened, and a messenger ninja hurried in, looking anxious.

"Lord Jiraiya, scouts from the front lines report that the Iwa-nin main force is advancing."

"What!"

Jiraiya immediately stood up, his eyes wide with shock and disbelief, fixed on the messenger ninja.

"Are you sure the information is accurate? Iwa-nin was just repelled recently, and now they're launching an attack already?"

Not only Jiraiya but also Satoru showed a hint of surprise, looking at the messenger ninja. The surrounding high-ranking officers were equally stunned and confused. They had just been discussing their counterattack plans, and now Iwa-nin was launching an offensive?

Is this a joke?

With so many shocked gazes on him, the messenger ninja wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand and quickly explained.

"It's true; the information should be accurate."

"Currently, the scouts are monitoring the Iwa-nin forces and are ready to relay the latest information. In about half an hour, the Iwa-nin main force will reach our camp."

"Is that so?"

Jiraiya took a deep breath, his expression grim. What is Kitsuchi thinking? As the commander, after such a defeat and with the Jinchūriki heavily injured, instead of regrouping, they're launching an offensive move?

Satoru also frowned, feeling uneasy. He suspected that Iwa-nin's hasty assault had some underlying plot, but with limited information, he couldn't be sure.

Jiraiya sighed slightly. It seems my earlier estimate was too conservative. This war won't end easily anytime soon.

If Iwa-nin was throwing more forces into the fray, determined to fight Konoha to the bitter end, the outcome was uncertain. Scanning the faces of the ninjas present, Jiraiya's gaze shot beyond the tent, a sharp glint in his eyes.

He commanded in a deep voice, "Pass the word, inform the ninjas to prepare for battle!"

"Yes, sir!"
