Capítulo 6: Chapter 006 I Want to Marry for Love, Not Responsibility
"I'll accompany you," Shen Mosheng paused, then added, "It's too dangerous for you to go alone."
As he spoke, his gaze fell on Han Yingying's belly again.
Seeing him stare at her stomach again, Han Yingying stomped her foot in anger, grabbed a stuffed animal to hold in her arms, and completely blocked his prying eyes.
"Shen Mosheng, what are you plotting?"
"Nothing." Unable to see her belly, a faint look of regret surfaced in Shen Mosheng's eyes.
"Do you really not mind if I abort the child, or do you think I don't dare?"
"Neither," Shen Mosheng responded with a calm demeanor, meeting Han Yingying's gaze, "It's dangerous for you to go alone."
"Xiaoruan will accompany me."
"For two girls to go, people will gossip; it's not good."
Han Yingying was taken aback, clearly not having considered this aspect.
She looked at Shen Mosheng suspiciously, seeing that he appeared upright and clear-eyed, the typical gentleman's demeanor, without a trace of ill intent.
By comparison, it seemed she was the one with the petty heart. Unable to help her curiosity, she asked.
"Do you really not mind if I go through with the abortion?"
"I respect your decision."
Now even more curious, Han Yingying asked, "You're willing to accompany me, aren't you afraid of being called a scumbag, irresponsible?"
For someone as responsible as him, failing to take responsibility must be the harshest criticism, right?
"If it's done, then responsibility must be taken."

Shen Mosheng looked at Han Yingying somewhat puzzled.

"Are you suggesting that love comes with time?" Han Yingying shook her head, disagreeing, "Many couples spend a lifetime together without ever developing love.
I want to wear a bridal gown for the man I love at the prime of our love, walk into the chapel, and build a love nest belonging only to us, bear his children, and grow old with him.
So I don't want to take the risk of marrying for duty without love, then spend every day hoping for love to develop soon.
If we never fall in love with each other, or if we fall in love with someone else, wouldn't that marriage become a tomb?"
His eyes flickered lightly, and Shen Mosheng's normally calm voice cracked faintly.
"Yingying, my feelings for you..."
