Yestin tossed and turned in his bed, staring at the faint glow of his digital clock. His head throbbed. The spreadsheets, analysing reports and satellite imagery floated in his mind. Despite his diligence, he couldn't pinpoint any evidence that something was amiss with the land. He felt as if his head would explode from overheating.

Rubbing his temples, Yestin sat up, thinking that since he could not sleep anyway, going earlier to the company would be better. He showered quickly and dressed in his usual sharp suit.

While drinking a strong coffee, he saw his reflection in the window. Plain and ordinary…

He shook his head and left his apartment.

By the time he arrived at the company, the sky was bright. Without hesitation he made his way to the presidential floor, his polished shoes echoing in the quiet corridor.

In spite of the early hours, most of the secretarial team were seated behind their desks.
