It was much hotter than usual, I could feel the rays of sun beaming onto my face. I swear I closed my curtains before I went to sleep because I was binging [Give Up? Never!] all night.
Even more so it was like a sauna in my room, I'm starting to sweat…
I open my eyes and pull my heavy body up from the white mattress, it's odd that my face or stomach doesn't feel like it's throbbing anymore…
'Creak!'
"What the?" I looked in awe when I realized this bed was way bigger than my actual bed but, "The room looks like complete crap though…"
Where am I? Is this a dream again?
I moved my feet from the bed to the old wooden flooring, I was already paranoid, no thanks to the thunder loud, noise creaking bed.
With each inch I moved I heard the worst popping noise as if someone recorded an ASMR back cracking video and put it on 100x volume.
The wood looked darker than actual obsidian, and you could see the dirt through the crevices, what the fuck? I saw little bugs crawl through them living in those holes like it's their own house.
The walls weren't any better…
The walls 'were' painted grey, but it seemed like the paint had come off and what was left was just the wooden walls itself. When I looked up, the roof just had just the hangover on it, and it wasn't even sealed off, they didn't even bother placing roof tiles to cover anything on top.
This place was in shambles...
I spotted a rotting door at the edge of this sauna and started quickly walking towards it.
"Guh…"
I took like two or three steps and I was already gasping for air. It didn't help that this place was burning me alive. I was sweating like crazy. I flopped my body towards the floor and let my body lay on the infested planks. I could feel a sharp pain on my buttocks.
"Ouch!" I screeched in a little pain but, "Why does that feel so real?"
I could feel where the pain was coming from, so I put my hands behind my back and dug out a silver necklace from one of my back pockets. The necklace shined brightly and had a shining blue gem in the middle of it...
It looks just as if it was described from [Give Up? Never!] with a blue gem that was encased around a silver brace connected with a silver chain.
It's as if this is the 'Shaping Will', the Andras Family's necklace artifact, it was beautiful... I put this necklace in my back pocket again and gathered my breath.
I stood up once I could finally feel my legs again. They felt numb as if 100 pounds was crushing it this entire time.
This feels all too real...
I twisted the doorknob and pushed the rotting door forward just to find a long hallway stretched by a red carpet with yellow lines boarding it.
The walls were covered with the color white, with supporting posts being patterned as if to support the roof.
The hallway's walls were filled with a bunch of lanterns that seemed to have a fire on top of a red gem, trapped within the glass case. That fire inside the lantern would never go out.
When I looked up I could see the hallway's glass dome above me. The roof's distance apart from me felt too outlying.
I wouldn't touch that transparent glass that held the sun's gaze in a life's time.
Though it was a beautiful colored window, it only made the hallway enrich in more heat.
On the other side was another door, it almost seemed like an endless hallway.
"Are you serious? That door looks way too far…" I groaned in complete agony the door was barely in my vision, "Why am I doing this anyway?"
"Where am I even going?"
While contemplating talking to myself I started to drag my feet forward as I gravitated to the door on the other side of the hallway. Loud footsteps and mental clanking became more present the closer I got to the door on the other side of the hallway.
Thwang!
The door seemed to burst open at the pinnacle of the noise made by what I was hearing. It swung open faster than I could see but it remained perfectly intact.
"Dorian Andras!" The woman with silky, smooth platinum hair, started to shout an unfamiliar but reminiscent name, "Dorian! Do you understand what you just did yesterday?"
She continued to yell but I was questioning who was Dorian Andras, who was this woman yelling at?
Andras?
Wait...
She looked familiar as if she depicted the ideal image of Lucy-
Lucy Andras! Straight platinum hair that fell to her shoulders, grey eyes, and a skinny but very healthy bo-
"Dorian are you listening to what I was saying!" her words snapped me back to reality, and she continued to berate me, "You tricked Father intotor opening the Family Vault and you stole the sacred Soul Necklace."
'Soul Necklace'? Isn't that an artifact that the Andras Family has kept as a way of being able to freely manipulate their soul weapon?
Ding!
"What!"
I blurted out stupidly, I put a flabbergasted expression on my face because a certain red window popped up in front of my eyes:
[Tutorial Quest!]
What? A red screen appeared with a quest what am I dreaming about?
...But wait… This is way too crazy for a dream.
I came to realize this wasn't just some sort of dream, really slowly, I might be a little slow.
It feels all too real, the way my body can barely hold itself up unless I'm getting crushed by something in my sleep, this pain feels way too real! And the soft but loud voice of this girl has been making my ears vibrate.
"What's with that stupid look? Are you surprised Father knew you took the necklace? Father has ordered me to take it back to him so give it up!" To her, I looked like I was staring at the abyss in shock because I was caught red-handed, but something took my attention;

| - +100 SP! (Soul Points) |
| - +100 VP! (Villain Points) |
----
Is this some kind of game? What the hell are 'Soul Points' and 'Villain Points'?
But better yet, how the hell am I supposed to convince her I don't have it if I can feel it in my back pocket right now? It would've been nice if I hadn't had all this information shoved at me right when the quest started!
My head was still wrapped around the fact that I was being called Dorian Andras, the third son of the Duke Family of Andras. If I'm Dorian Andras, then that girl in front of me is my sister, Lucy Andras, and I'm inside the novel [Give Up? Never!]?
I took the family's treasure and got hunted down to the ends of the earth because I wanted to become the Andras Family's successor by forming the best soul weapon.
I wanted to be someone who was known as powerful, yet I had no soul weapon, and I had no supernatural powers.
So I can't fight against any of the Duke's Guards who are right beside Lucy, there are at least 12 of them! Do they think I'm going to try to escape or fight them, I look like a twig and feel like one.
In the story, I just overturn to the dark side, fall into God's will, and become God's demon before the actual start of the pivotal moment in [Give Up! Never]. I'm basically cooked!
Well, now that I'm within the world of [Give Up! Never!], and I have some knowledge of this world, then maybe there is a way …
"Dorian! You will be exiled for lying but if you admit the truth, the punishment will be less severe the easier you give it up." Lucy continued to repeat,
"Mother says too that if you hand it over without us having to use force, it'll be lightened to only 4 weeks of imprisonment and semi-conducted torturing."
What the hell! Now I'm never going to admit I have the damn necklace in my pocket! I can feel it stuck to my butt ever since I woke up!
I felt my head begin to twirl as if I were on a rollercoaster, and my chest started to burn up hotter than before.
I was nervous because this was the start of my time in my favorite novel. I have to complete this quest- so I took a small unnoticeable gulp…
"...Lucy," I tried my best to keep my voice monotone although my voice felt a bit shaky, "I don't possess the artifact because I would remember taking it... and I have no such recollection of it." I could feel my body shaking.
This was my only bet since my body and my memory as 'Dorian Andras' have not been engraved and I do not know of the 'Soul Necklace' or how I got it.
Lucy should be able to use her artifact called 'Memory Gem' to know that I have no recollection of it.
"That's blatant lying!" She scowled crudely, showing the biggest face of disbelief ever.
"If that's the case, why don't you try using your artifact? I know you possess the Memory Gem," I gave the most mischievous grin I had ever made before.
I could feel little droplets of sweat running down from my forehead to my cheeks. Hopefully, they didn't notice.
"How did you know I have that? Did my mother tell you?"
"That a trade secret!" I tried to smile-
She got even more aggravated, "Fine! But if you're caught lying this time by me then your punishment will only be worse!" She remarked as she pulled out the Memory Gem from her pockets within her white robes, "Search! Soul Necklace!"
There wasn't any going back-
.
.
.
The gem showed nothing;
[No Identifiable Memory of Search; 'Soul Necklace' Found]
Lucy just started at the gem's output in disbelief, "There's a bug! My Memory Gem has to be broken or something!"
Lucy doubted her artifact more than ever, "One more time!"
I smiled, knowing she would never get a single memory of my current soul interacting with a 'Soul Necklace'.
"Search… Andras Artifact: Soul Necklace!" her eyes turned into flames as she anticipated the output's answer to change.
[No Identifiable Memory of Search; 'Andras Artiface: Soul Necklace' Found]
"Another one!" She kept persisting for another hour or so.
.
.
.
But no matter how she phrased her dictionary of the 'Soul Necklace', it never resulted in getting an identifiable memory from my soul.
She said every word of 'Soul Necklace' from her dictionary but that wasn't what I classified it as. Its true name was called Shaping Will after all.
"Damn it... no memories… I guess... you weren't lying this time... it looks like you're in the clear," She said exhaustedly, I was also mentally drained from her persistence and physically drained from standing this long.
"But just to make sure!" She continued when I thought I was free and about to clear this quest,
"We're going to pat you down just in case... Guards make sure nothing in his pockets resembles the Soul Necklace."
Oh fuck...
