JOHN

"What a pretty little beta he is!" The little woman exclaims lovingly, 

"Mommy, will you please stop this?" Ruth scrunches his nose, "He is my boyfriend, you know. And he might not like this." 

But truth to be told this one of the warmest hugs anyone has ever given me. Warm, kind, and…motherly. "B-But I don't dislike it." I try to deny the remark meekly. 

"See, Ruru!" The woman, I believe to be Ruth's omega mother exclaims happily. She is hugging me tighter than before. "He likes it! My son-in-law likes my hugs!" 

Ruth and I immediately go red. "Mommy!" Ruth rebukes and Joe snorts. 

Steve's little hand tightens around mine. "What is 'son-in-law', brother?" He asks me innocently, blinking at me with curiosity in his dark eyes.
