"Kevin," I don't mean to sound this cold as I talk to Kevin over the phone to hide my desperation, "The medicines aren't working as good as before."
"D-Did you take them as the doctor advised you to?" Kevin stutters a little.
"I took them accordingly." I rummage through my suitcase to find something suitable to wear for the night. "But they aren't working properly. I am emitting pheromones unconsciously."
"We have a problem then." Kevin sounds almost robotic as he asks, "Do you have your doctor's number? Or do you want me to talk to him on your behalf?"
"I have his number." I feel somewhat irritated at his tune, "I will call him myself. You don't have to bother yourself."
"Fine. Take care." Kevin cuts the line.
