Capítulo 24: Marriage Plans

Ana and Nicholas lay wrapped up together for a couple of hours talking quietly and touching each other reaffirming their bond. Ana told Nick about the houses and the one she liked best. He listened providing input about different key things to look for in buying a home. Nicholas had grown up near the coast as well and loved the idea of a home near the beach. New Haven was only thirty miles from the coast but in a city this large it could feel like a thousand miles.

After speaking of living half the year in each country, Nicholas had investigated properties for their time in Cambria. He told Ana about three estates that he thought might be good for them. Two were in the port city of Cortez and the third in the capital of Meloren where his father, King Philip held court. He personally hoped she would choose Cortez to give them all some separation from court life and Elise his stepmother. He would never find common ground with her.
