Seeing Violet's expression change, Bruch, the most perceptive among the crew, quickly recognized the need to give Byron and Violet some privacy. He signaled to the other pirates nearby, and they all silently retreated, covering their mouths to stifle any noise.
"Hm? What's the question?" Byron asked, noticing the slight nervousness in Violet's demeanor. She stood a bit taller than before, the unease evident in her gaze, but there was also a determined glint as she faced Byron. Finally, she gathered the courage to voice the question she'd been holding back for so long.
"Would you be willing to become a true, permanent citizen of Iron Anchor Bay... and the first mate of my Flaming Rose?"
