Sitting in the driver's seat of the sports car, Lorien lightly pressed the accelerator, and the Ferrari surged forward like a wild horse released from its reins.

The exhilaration of acceleration sent a thrill down Lorien's spine. This sensation of being pushed back into the seat was different from flying. This was more like riding a powerful beast.
"Skyfire, how long does it take you to go from 0 to 100 and 0 to 400 meters?"
Skyfire responded immediately, "1.6 seconds and 6.2 seconds, respectively."

The numbers were intense.

Without another word, Lorien steered the Ferrari onto an unrestricted highway and pressed the accelerator to the floor, feeling the rush of blistering speed.

After leaving a random driver in the dust, Lorien exited the highway. He drove along the coastline, the night sky deepening as he went. Looking out to sea, he couldn't see far, but a piece of news on his phone caught his attention:
[Dr. Stephen Strange, the top surgeon in the United States, was in a car accident last night. Strange woke up tonight and said that both his hands were injured and he would not be able to perform surgeries anymore!]

Seeing this, Lorien sighed. Some things were inevitable. Stephen had to endure this hardship to become the Sorcerer Supreme.
As his friend, Lorien felt a pang of sadness. Though he couldn't help directly, he could offer some indirect support.
"Skyfire, take me to the best hospital in New York."
Skyfire automatically adjusted its course and headed towards the hospital. Twenty minutes later, the Ferrari was parked downstairs. Lorien stepped out and made a call to arrange his visit.
A few minutes later, Lorien entered the hospital. Stephen lay in bed, his hands bound to medical equipment. When he saw Lorien, he winced in pain but forced a smile.
"Hiss~ You're fast! Only half an hour after the news broke," Stephen said with a faint smile. "But don't ever think about racing with you again."
Stephen's hands were pinned in place by bone nails and fixators, each finger immobilized. Though he had just woken up and was under the effects of morphine, the pain was still evident.
Lorien approached the bed, staring at Stephen's scarred hands in a moment of heavy silence.
Stephen could feel Lorien's genuine concern. This was not just an obligatory visit. And Lorien could sense Stephen's despair. At under 30, Stephen's promising career and life seemed shattered. The hopelessness was palpable, as if someone was squeezing his heart.
"Hiss…"
Stephen took a sharp breath. More than half an hour had passed, and he knew the powerful effects of the morphine were fading. In ten minutes, the excruciating pain would return, and to heal properly, he couldn't take more painkillers. He had to endure it.
He exhaled a long breath, forcing one last smile at Lorien.
"Lorien, go back. I can feel your concern," Stephen said softly. "I'll come hang out with you again when I get better. I may have lost my hands, but I still have my money. I can enjoy life for a long time, and then we can continue to have fun, right?"
Lorien nodded but also shook his head.
"Huh?" Stephen didn't understand.
Then, Lorien extended his hand over Stephen's injured hands. Golden-red energy flowed from Lorien's hand, enveloping Stephen's fingers.
Stephen felt a tingling sensation, and the pain noticeably lessened.
When Lorien finished, he withdrew his hand and met Stephen's bewildered gaze.
"This energy will help you heal faster and with less pain," Lorien explained.
He turned and walked towards the door, pausing to look back.
"Come see me when you're better," he said, before stepping out.
