"How do you know?"
Roger felt that his thought process and Tang Shu's were completely out of sync. Just because he couldn't see a figure, could he really be sure there wasn't a problem? Wasn't that a bit too presumptuous?
Tang Shu raised her hand and pointed to a mound ahead with a gentler slope, where there was a string of footprints, as if someone had recently stepped there.
"There are footprints over there."
The footprints led forward, not down the slope, which meant the person they were looking for had only lost a hat, rather than falling down the mountain. As for why they didn't go pick up the hat... that was unknown.
Upon seeing this, Roger pursed his lips and suddenly didn't feel like speaking anymore.
Alright, this woman was clearly intelligent. No wonder Wei didn't like her, huh! This kind of intelligence was infuriatingly overwhelming.
With that thought, Roger completely forgot that he had just been proclaiming the other person to be foolish.
