Lexi watched on as everything took place.
She was a person bound by contract to ALCHEMI and any act of betrayal would be bad for her.
Luckily for her, she figured out that inaction was not considered a direct act of betrayal so she could watch what happened and did not need to intervene. 'This girl has shown capabilities of someone from ALCHEMI but she is not one of the bigshots I know. I can only guess that she is of great importance which means...'
Her greedy gaze turned towards the cat who ran away before pursuing. 'She must be so important that she would have valuable things on her.'
Meanwhile, the body of Gene started to show signs of healing which caused Rayne to be shocked. "This is not enough huh? You are a monster!"
She took out a dyno cap and released her next weapon which was a flame thrower.
The body of Gene had started to reform at a fast speed but it was already too late as the flames were released towards her body. "AAAAAAAAH!!! AAAH! AAAH!"
Her pained screams continued as she was enveloped by the flames which caught her attention of Lexi. 'Wow... this girl is quite thorough. I like it!'
It was like she had decided as she disappeared with great speed before catching up to the cat and snatching the bag away from it.
It happened so fast that Zimo could not detect how it lost the bag but kept running as if scared by such a strange thing that happened.
Lexi returned to see the body of Gene disappearing in the flames until nothing was left then Rayne waved her hand towards the flames which caused them to be negated and put out.
Nothing but charred ash remained at the scene after everything was burned up by the flames. 'This girl was on my watch list for a potential way out but now... I can see she has some potential after all.'
She checked the bag and was soon surprised to find everything inside. 'Now these will be of great help. I struck gold!'
She jumped down behind Rayne with a blinding speed and sent a chop to the back of her which caused Rayne to drop down before carrying her away on her shoulder.
