Apocalypse Farming System (Part 2)

Not to mention now, after three days of starvation, it felt like a feast.

After gulping down the last mouthful of beef seaweed soup, Dokgo Chul-Moo let out a satisfied burp.

"Perfect!"

The moment he set down his chopsticks, with no intention of eating more, the dishes vanished without a trace right in front of him.

"It even saves me from washing the dishes by myself. How considerate."

Feeling full and satisfied, Dokgo Chul-Moo's mood improved significantly.

Only then did he start to seriously study this apocalypse farming system.

Speaking of the apocalypse farming system, Dokgo Chul-Moo's mind immediately flashed back to a game he had been preparing to uninstall in his previous world.

The game's name was "The World Reconstruction Plan."

He had been misled by the title, thinking it was a strategy game, and downloaded it based on recommendations.

However, it turned out to be a farming simulation game.

Even the items in the novice gift package were similar, except for the dinner.

But now, Dokgo Chul-Moo couldn't investigate the relationship between the game and this apocalypse farming system.

He skipped over the rewards like the hoe, axe, and other tools, as he already understood their purpose, and focused on the "starter wooden house."

"Claim the wooden house."

[ Please choose a location to place the wooden house. ]

The words floated before Dokgo Chul-Moo's eyes, along with a semi-transparent floating wooden house.

As Dokgo Chul-Moo's gaze moved, the wooden house also moved in front of him.

However, no matter where he tried to place it, the base of the house still turned red, accompanied by a prompt: [ Cannot place here. ]

Dokgo Chul-Moo carefully observed the placement conditions for the wooden house.

He quickly realized that it required a clear area free of debris, large enough to fit the house, with soil around it suitable for farming.

Only then would the house turn green, indicating it could be placed there.

Dokgo Chul-Moo didn't place the wooden house just anywhere.

He wasn't sure if he could move the house once it was placed.

If it couldn't be moved, he needed to choose a good location!

Moreover, the system indicated that this was only a starter house, which suggested there would be upgrades in the future.

If the house's exterior size changed with upgrades, it would be even more important to be careful about where he placed it.

Another factor to consider was that, since this system was called the apocalypse farming system, farming would definitely be a major component.

The area around his house needed to have plenty of soil, and it should be large enough to accommodate extensive planting.

In summary, the streets of the town where Dokgo Chul-Moo was currently staying were not suitable at all.

The sky was completely dark now.

With no electricity, the streets were pitch black, illuminated only by the faint light of the moon, just enough for Dokgo Chul-Moo to see.

He carefully avoided the wandering zombies and returned to the small room where he had been staying for the past two days.

He locked the door, got into bed, closed his eyes, and went to sleep.

After having a full meal, his next priority was to get a good night's sleep and recharge his energy.

Tomorrow, he would head out of the town to find a suitable location for his wooden house.

There, he would gradually establish his own farm!

This was the best sleep Dokgo Chul-Moo ever had since he came this new world.

When he opened his eyes, he still felt a lingering satisfaction.

With a soft mental call of "system," the semi-transparent interface immediately enlarged before his eyes.

It wasn't a dream!

After confirming this, Dokgo Chul-Moo felt a surge of energy.

Since it wasn't a dream, he couldn't afford to waste any more time in the town today.

He needed to make thorough preparations and start heading out of town.

Dokgo Chul-Moo searched through the original owner's memories and found that zombies generally did not linger in the open areas of the suburbs unless they smelled a significant amount of human scent.

Even if he did encounter a few wandering zombies, their numbers would be limited.

However, Dokgo Chul-Moo was not afraid of zombies at this point.

He just preferred not to face them directly unless absolutely necessary.

It wasn't about danger; it's just that they're all looked ugly.

The past few days have been a challenge.

He had tried his best to avoid looking at the zombies' heads and focused on their less decomposed parts.

Although he was an otaku, he was a clean-freak otaku.

Dokgo Chul-Moo knew that life was more important than cleanliness, so he had endured that disgusting feeling these past three days like a true ninja turtle.

If he could avoid being around those dirty, unkempt zombies, he would gladly do so.

That didn't mean the suburbs area were perfectly safe and without danger.

Outside the town was the territory of another kind of creature.

Mutated creatures.

Including plants and animals.

A roadside weed could grow as tall as a person, and a caterpillar could be longer than a full-grown man!

There were all sorts of bizarre mutations: those with teeth, those that emitted strange scents, those that could move on their own.

If humans hadn't discovered a mutated creature, it was because it hadn't been mutated in that way yet.

Due to the death of the original body, the memories that Dokgo Chul-Moo's received were incomplete and it's providing only an outline of the original owner's journey to this town.

Dokgo Chul-Moo didn't know the full details of the original owner's group's journey.

Even if he did, Dokgo Chul-Moo had no intention of placing the wooden house in the direction they had come from.

After much consideration, Dokgo Chul-Moo decided to go to east.

From the original owner's memories, Dokgo Chul-Moo learned that the current region was predominantly mountainous and hilly.

While such terrain offered advantages for defending against zombie hordes and building a safe zone, it was not suitable for farming.
