THEO found himself cackling at her words. "Not when we are mates. After all, we are connected. I wouldn't be able to look away." He completed the wrapping of the bandage around her wound and looked up at her. "That is why you'll either reject me or I'll do it myself." 

He proceeded to stand up to his feet, but Jasmine's hands shot out, grabbing him by the cheek, and before he could even anticipate anything, he felt a warm breath against his neck and a pair of sharp canines piercing his skin and meeting his mating gland. 

She marked him!

The man's eyes grew as wide as a saucer, and he quickly grabbed her skinny shoulders, pushing her back. "What is wrong with you? Why did you mark me?"
