The day came, and as the sun rose, and the city started waking up. The Targaryen family prepared for the day ahead.
Rhaenyra, rose with the first light. She moved silently about the room, donning the intricate Targaryen attire that bore the weight of tradition. She had to admit that she missed it. All the memories that were made here, including ones with her mother.
As she thought about her mother, a tear fell from her eye unknowingly. As she started wiping the tear, she felt a hand wrap around her waist pulling her closer.
She immediately recognized the familiar touch, and that was William.
So, she turned to face him. And as they both were facing each other. William wiped the reaming tears off her face.
And then lifted her chin and kissed her.
He knew memories were resurfacing, and the least he could do is comfort her.
....
Downstairs, the Red Keep's grand dining hall was set for breakfast. The scent of freshly baked bread and fruits lingered and other food in the air as the family gathered.
As Alicent joined the family at the table, her demeanor was composed, a mask hiding the turmoil within.
With Aegon, Halaena and Aemond already sat.
After a few minutes, Rhaenyra, gracefully descended stepped inside the dining hall, with William beside her joined the family in the grand dining hall.
Viserys, greeted them with a warm smile. "Good morning, I hope your sleep was well?"
Rhaenyra, returning the smile, replied with a touch of sincerity, "Restful, Father. I've missed this place."
With William agreeing with what Rhanerya with a nod. Hearing this, Viserys was glad that Rhaenyra and William were satisfied with everything.
As the family settled into their seats, after Malaevor also joined after greeting everyone, the clinking of utensils against plates created a subdued melody.
Alicent, maintaining her composed exterior, directed her attention to the spread of food.
Seeing this, William looked at the food front of him and spoke: "The breakfast looks delightful."
Malaevor also seemed to agree, as he had already started eating.
The morning sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow over the dining hall.
Signifying the start of a fresh new day.
