"Alexander and I already informed the government about your speech," Darla said. "They're giving you a month to prepare. You need to do this for the sake of both your lives."
At that moment, Aelius started to cry in her arms. Darla gently rocked him, trying to soothe him.
"It might become a court case because of the contract," Alexander sighed. "I signed it, so I'll have to help too."
"Does it have to be a court case?" Azazel asked, worry evident in his voice. "Is there any way around it?"
Alexander looked thoughtful. "We can try to present it as a special circumstance, emphasizing the uniqueness of your situation and the children. But it's not guaranteed. We'll need solid arguments and support."
Darla nodded in agreement. "We'll gather everything we can to support you. Testimonials, character witnesses, anything that might help."
Kreo put his hand on Azazel's shoulder. "We'll get through this. Together."
Azazel took a deep breath, feeling a mixture of relief and anxiety. "Alright. Let's start preparing."
Over the next month, Azazel, Kreo, Darla, and Alexander prepared meticulously for the upcoming speech and potential court case, all while balancing the demands of caring for the newborns.
In the mornings, Azazel and Kreo would feed their babies, taking turns to ensure each one was cared for and content. When the babies napped, they would sit together at the dining table, papers and laptops spread out, working on their speech.
As evening came, Alexander, Darla, and Karla would arrive. Alexander would often bounce one of the babies on his knee, telling them stories. Darla would sing softly, her voice calming the fussy infants, while Karla entertained them as she played with them, bringing laughter and smiles.
Kreo and Azazel worked tirelessly on their speech. They reached out to their friends, seeking support and guidance. Sarah and Elysia agreed to speak about the love and companionship they had witnessed between Kreo and Azazel.
"Your relationship has been a hope and unity," Sarah said during one of their meetings. "We'll make sure people understand that."
Darla and Alexander decided to talk about their joy and pride in being grandparents to the new generation of heroes.
"These children are a symbol of a new era," Alexander said. "We will tell the people that."
Finally, Kreo and Azazel would address the most challenging part of their speech: confessing Azazel's secret. They practised late into the night, rehearsing their words.
What if they just see me for my status?" Azazel said, worried.
"They won't," Kreo held onto Azazel's hand. "They'll love you like I do."

The month ended and the day came. News had spread quickly about the speech being given by Tenawyuv's hero and his lover from the gala.
The hall was filled with people, buzzing with curiosity and anticipation. Kreo stood at the podium, Azazel beside him, their friends and family nearby for support.
Cameras started to go live all over Tenawyuv, broadcasting the hero's big speech. The government officials sat aside, also interested to hear about this speech while hearing some rumours too.
"Well, good evening everyone," Kreo began, his voice steady. "Thank you all for coming. Today, we want to share a story with you – our story."
He paused, looking out at the crowd, before continuing. "Many of you know me as a hero, but behind every hero is a journey filled with love, challenges, and unexpected turns. Tonight, we want to introduce you to someone who has been a significant part of my journey."
Azazel stepped forward, taking a deep breath. "I'm Azazel. Some of you may know me from the gala, but there's more to my story. For years, I lived a different life, one that I am not proud of."
There were whispers in the crowd, but Azazel continued. "I am the villain of Tenawyuv."
