"I told you, Dad, I know what I'm doing in the stock market."

"Son, there are plenty of people who know what to do, but they still lose or barely make anything," he replied, a hint of concern in his voice.

"Don't worry, Dad. I'll send money to you early next month."

"There's no need. We'll manage. You can keep it to yourself," he insisted.

"I'll send money no matter what you say, Dad."

"...alright. Do what you want. And how are you doing at the uni?"

We chatted a bit more, catching up, before I said my goodbyes. "Take care, and don't leave Mom alone with this, Dad. Talk to her. I'll call her later."

"Will do. Take care, Jack."

"Bye, Dad."
