Capítulo 36:  A Moment in Unconsciousness

Kowalsk had won the fight against that beast, but his body was exhausted, and as he was about to fall to the ground, Thilláila caught him, supporting him on her shoulders. And the inevitable happened: she bumped her head against Kowalsk's, and suddenly their brain information merged, causing both to fall into a lethargic state on the ground, under the astonished gaze of everyone.

Then she began to see the information flowing in Kowalsk's mind as if she were watching a 3D movie, following everything closely. The world was in ruins. Cities that once teemed with life were now piles of rubble and ashes, reminders of the destruction caused by the dragons. These powerful creatures, led by a tyrant named Lord Dracko, spread fear and cruelly controlled humanity. From the beginning, their goal was clear: to dominate the world and enslave the human race.

Amidst the debris, few places of resistance still remained. Improvised fortresses, built from the remnants of old buildings, sheltered the last survivors who refused to surrender to the dragons. These groups, despite scarce resources and constant threat of attacks, represented humanity's last hope against the darkness.

In the images flowing through Thilláila's mind, Kowalsk observed the deserted streets of the city that was once his home. Thilláila saw that these memories of destruction were as strong as the pain he felt. He had fought in many battles, seen friends and comrades fall before the dragons' flames. And for him, each silent street, each ruined building, was a reminder of how far humanity had fallen.

In his mind, he remembered the faces of those who were gone: soldiers, civilians, children. All victims of the power lust of the one who called himself Lord Dracko, the lord of the dragons. Those who were still alive now fought not only for their own lives but for the hope of one day seeing the sun shine over a free land again.

Kowalsk walked through the empty streets, feeling the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. He knew that human resistance was on the brink of extinction. Each day brought the distant sound of dragon wings and the roar of fire consuming what was left of humanity. However, he had not given up. He couldn't afford to give up.

Thilláila watched everything without being able to interfere. As he approached the improvised walls that surrounded the core of the resistance, he saw the faint glow of torches and heard muffled murmurs. Survivors gathered around the fires, sharing stories of bravery and loss. Some gazes turned to Kowalsk as he passed, mixing recognition and gratitude with fear and uncertainty.

Kowalsk was not a leader by choice but by necessity. His experience and skills were the resistance's best weapons against the dragons. He knew this, as he knew he needed allies, voices that could rise above despair and give strength to disheartened hearts. In the starlight, he looked at the distant horizon, where the shadows of the dragons hovered like threatening specters.

Thilláila focused on everything and heard the conversation that promised a new dawn as distant as the stars' glow in the night sky. But Kowalsk was not ready to give up. Not while there was a single spark of hope inside him, not while there was still a chance to fight. He took a deep breath, feeling the weight of destiny on his shoulders. It was time to gather the others, form a plan, strengthen the bonds that kept them united. Because if there was one thing he knew for sure, it was that human resistance would not be easily broken. Not while he could use his skills, not while there was still an enemy to face.

With firm steps, Kowalsk headed to the heart of the fortress, determined to prepare his comrades for the imminent battle. And in the silence of the night, humanity's last holdouts gathered around him, ready to face the horrors that dawn would bring. Then the vision ended, and Kowalsk, petrified and returning to a reality that seemed worse, shouted trying to help: "Thilláila, be careful! Get away from me now!"
