Meanwhile...
The three thugs edged closer to Long Shiqian, their sneers growing more menacing with each step. The lanky man reached out, his grimy fingers just inches away from her hair.
Long Shiqian, on the other hand, had lost all hope. Her body was trembling and sweating with fear as her last vestige of hope evaporated.
Soon...
She closed her eyes and braced herself for the inevitable humiliation, knowing there was nothing she could do to retaliate.
"Who gave you the courage to cause trouble in my area? Are you tired of living? Or has that puny White Wolf of yours lost his mind?"
Zhang Yuchen's voice rang out, strong and clear, cutting through the oppressive atmosphere.
He had long recognized these thugs; they worked for the White Wolf gang, a group of rogues who lend money to people and then thrive on the interest.
Hearing him, the thugs halted, their attention snapping to the source of the interruption.
Zhang Yuchen stood tall, his eyes blazing with fury and determination, his hands in his pockets.
"Damn it, who dares to ruin our fun? Bastard! Are you tired of living?" snarled the lanky thug, stepping back instinctively. But before he could say more, the broader thug placed a hand on his shoulder, recognition dawning in his eyes.
"Wait," he said, "that's Zhang Yuchen, one of the Five Tigers of the Chen family. He works for that damned Chen Mu whom even our boss respects... What should we do, elder brother?"
The third thug, the scrawny one with the nervous twitch, also turned, his eyes widening as he assessed the situation. Soon, he sneered.
"So what if he's related to the Chen family? What's his place there? Isn't he just a dog who wags his tail when his owner throws a biscuit? Haha! Besides, this area is far from their reach, and he's alone. What the hell are you even scared of?"
The lanky thug's face twisted into a cruel smile.
"Brother, you're right. Let's teach him a lesson. Break his legs, and then we can take the woman."
Hearing them, Zhang Yuchen's eyes flashed with an intensity that sent shivers down one's spine.
"You dare lay a hand on her, and I'll show you the meaning of true fear. Your future won't be measured in years, but in seconds. Think twice before crossing that line, because once you do, there's no turning back. I'll make sure of it... you'll be begging for death."
At this moment, Long Shiqian's eyes slowly fluttered open, the soothing resonance of Zhang Yuchen's voice reaching her ears like a lifeline, calming her frayed nerves.
Gazing up, she saw a tall, muscular man standing before her, with broad shoulders and bulging muscles pulsating with sheer strength. His handsome face softened as he gazed at her, his empathetic green eyes meeting hers.
His black long coat fluttered in the wind, and his blond hair shone under the sunlight, his hard black boots almost cracking the ground with each step as he approached.
At that moment, she realized she had seen this man in the building before.
But was he always this handsome? She couldn't recall him being such a looker.
"Why do I feel so calm hearing his voice, as if it's soothing my heart? Maybe it's because I'm so desperate and no one else has helped me. But what if this young man gets into trouble because of me? If things turn against him, I'll tell him to run...But I don't want him to...Please, someone, call the police,"
She thought, her heart pounding with hope and fear.
"Hahahaha! Hahahaha!"
The broad thug laughed, a harsh, grating sound. "Big words for a lone dog. Boys, let's show him what happens when you mess with the White Wolf gang."
The lanky thug, emboldened by his leader's words, sneered. "You think just because you're one of the five tigers, we're scared? Out here, you're nothing but a stray."
Zhang Yuchen soon arrived at a cemented area not far from the entrance of the building. Iron railings lined the edges, and a set of stairs led up to a higher level.
He yanked a wooden plank that had been placed there, but after a moment's thought, he dropped it.
Seeing this, the lanky thug laughed. "Is that all you've got? Scared already? Beg this grandpa if you want mercy."
Zhang Yuchen ignored him and started shaking the railing. With a powerful heave, he yanked a sturdy iron pipe out of the cemented floor; it wouldn't have been possible if the building wasn't old enough. The gangsters' expressions shifted from mockery to confusion.
"You think I'm scared of you? Bring it on!" Zhang Yuchen's voice was steady, and his eyes seemed to contain a cold gleam.
"You asked for it, bastard!"
"Get him, break his third leg!"
"You are dead! Die for me!"
Swoosh! Thump!
The three thugs rushed him simultaneously. The lanky man lunged forward, thrusting his knife toward Zhang Yuchen's face; he hated this arrogant face too much, he wanted to make it miserable. Zhang Yuchen swung the iron pipe, blocking the attack with a resounding clang. Sparks flew as metal met metal.
Clang!
Soon the thug was repelled and dropped to the ground.
Thud! Thump!
The broad thug saw an opening and aimed a powerful kick at Zhang Yuchen's face, but Zhang Yuchen blocked it with his other hand. Muscles strained, but he held firm.
Boom! Block!
The third thug tried to take advantage of the distraction, sneaking up from behind. Zhang Yuchen sensed the movement.
Swiss! BOOM!
He spun around, delivering a brutal kick to the assailant's jaw. The thug's tooth flew out, blood spraying in a crimson arc, while his yellow tooth seemed to sparkle in the sunlight.
"Argh!" The thug screamed, clutching his face.
At this time, already having enough space, Zhang Yuchen grabbed the head of the broad thug and soon he hit him with his own head, colliding with the thug's nose, breaking it completely.
BAAAM!!!
"Ahh...Son of bitchhhahhh!" he cried out.
The lanky thug, undeterred, came at Zhang Yuchen again, slashing wildly with his knife. Zhang Yuchen dodged, the blade grazing his cheek.
Swoosh!!
Clang!!
With a fierce swing of the iron pipe, he struck the thug's wrist. The crack of breaking bone was followed by the knife clattering to the ground.
"You bastard!" The broad thug roared, charging with a furious punch aimed at Zhang Yuchen's gut, seeming reluctant and wanting to take revenge. Zhang Yuchen sidestepped, bringing the pipe down on the thug's back with a sickening thud.
Thud!! Thud!!
The thug collapsed to his knees, gasping for breath, but Zhang Yuchen didn't stop there, firmly grabbing the iron pipe and delivering a vertical slash; his head was nearly broke apart, blood sprayed like a fountain, if not for the hard bone the thug would have died.
Boom! Clanck!!
The lanky thug, now cradling his broken wrist, tried to kick at Zhang Yuchen. Zhang Yuchen caught his leg and twisted it sharply.
Snap!!
The sound of snapping ligaments echoed through the surroundings. The thug howled in pain, crumpling to the ground.
"Ahhh"
The scrawny thug, despite his bleeding mouth, lunged at Zhang Yuchen with a wild scream. Zhang Yuchen swung the pipe in a wide arc, smashing it across the thug's temple. The thug dropped like a stone, nearly unconscious before he hit the ground.
"Who's next?" Zhang Yuchen growled, his voice low and dangerous. He glanced around, the iron pipe dripping with blood. The broad thug, still on his knees, looked up with wide, fearful eyes.

Meanwhile...
A certain woman was hiding in a closed shop, across th building, observing everything that happened in the compound of the building.
Her name was Gu Lingyun.
She was a beautiful woman with short, sleek black hair styled in a 'chic bob' that framed her delicate face. Her sharp, alert purple eyes were highlighted by a touch of eyeliner and subtle makeup that enhanced her natural beauty.
She was elegantly dressed in a professional white shirt and a black outer coat. Her black stockings clung to her slender legs, accentuating her petite yet curvaceous figure. Her white shirt strained against her full, ample breasts, drawing attention to her figure in a way that was hard to ignore.
Despite her polished appearance, there was an air of determination and strength about her. Above all, her nature seemed exceptionally caring, comparable to the gentle sister-in-law next door.
At this moment, she held her phone in hand, poised to call the police. She watched as the intense fight broke out, her heart racing.
Initially, she was an insurance agent who worked tirelessly, often traveling to meet clients and persuade them to invest in various schemes.
Today, she had come to taipeng area for a similar purpose, but now she found herself a witness to something far more dangerous.
Her eyes widened as she watched the blond man skillfully defeat the thugs with ferocity. Ready to dial the emergency number, she hesitated, her finger hovering over the call button, thoughts racing through her mind.
"Thank goodness he was here. Even if the police had arrived, it might have been too late. Now that the bad guys are taken care of... Should I call them now or not? If I do, this guy might also get in trouble. That blond guy is handling things out there, but the cops might not see it that way."
She couldn't resist letting her gaze trace down his body.
Even from a distance, she could see his muscles ripple with each movement - he was quite the hunk.
She bit her lip, feeling a strange sensation as she reached to the conclusion.
"No way am I calling them," she thought, her heart pounding. "If I do, he might get into trouble... He's so strong, so fierce, and, like, totally righteous. I can't just throw him under the bus; otherwise, he will not help anyone next time. Maybe I should just let him handle it. Ugh, if only my husband were half as strong and cool as him..."
At the same time...
In the building, local residents watched the confrontation unfold from their windows and balconies, their expressions were mix of concern and indifference.
They had seen similar scenes before, violence often tainting their neighborhood. While they didn't particularly like either party involved, they couldn't help but feel pity for Long Shiqian.
"Looks like Zhang Yuchen is at it again. That guy's always in some kind of trouble. But those thugs, they're from the White Wolf gang, right? Nasty bunch," remarked Uncle Feng, leaning against the window frame with a knowing nod.
"You can't blame him," replied Aunt Mei, with concern. "He was fighting them off pretty well and...Won. That's why...I told you not to mess with him."
Uncle Feng retorted, "Poor Long Shiqian... First her husband ran away with another woman, and then her son betrayed her. She didn't deserve any of this. She's always been quiet, keeping to herself. If she had accepte me... I would have protected her."
"Hahah! What a joke, Uncle Feng," scoffed Mr. Li. "Your wife ran away with your nephew, and you couldn't do anything. Now you're saying you could save her? Delusional."
"I suggest we stay out of it," advised Mrs. Wang cautiously. "How about calling the police for help? Although these gangs have their ways of finding out who called. Do they really dare to do anything to us in Dragon Kingdom? We would have the protection of the authorities."
"Forget it. Why take the chance? This woman is already saved now," voiced out, Mr. Wu, adjusting his glasses thoughtfully. "And when you think about it, he hasn't done anything to harm us. There were many times Mr. Zhang fought, and even then, it wasn't against us common people."
"I agree," nodded Mrs. Tan in solemn agreement. "Zhang Yuchen is also related to the Chen family. In Hanmi City, the four major families are the law. What else would they dare not do? Don't think too much about yourself."
Meanwhile...
On the other hand, Zhang Yuchen wiped the blood from his cheek, his eyes filled with fury.
"Damn it! How could they do this to my face? Have they no respect? This scar on my handsome face... I better use a recovery card soon, or who knows if it'll ever heal properly."
At this moment, the loli's voice resonated in his ears like a sweet melody:
"Ding! Another heroine has been detected nearby. Impressed by the host's bravery, Gu Lingyun's favorability towards the host has soared to 34!"
"Congratulations to the host! Would you like to view her profile? Heehee! She's also a married woman; the host can gain more benefits if he manages to take her down."
"Ding! Long Shiqian's heart, long trapped in an icy void, has begun to stir. Her feelings towards the host are mysterious and constantly deepening. Increase in favorability: +20!"
"Ding! Widow Long Shiqian now sees the host as her knight in shining armor. Her trust in the host has grown, favorability: +10."
"Let's put that aside for now. First, let's take care of these punks," Zhang Yuchen declared decisively.
Zhang Yuchen's focus once again shifted back to the three thugs; their bloodied appearances stark against the bright backdrop of the sunlit building compound.
But even so, he felt no guilt; beating someone wasn't new to him. In recent years, he has mastered the art of shuffling people from time to time. He had done far worse deeds for Chen Mu in the past; this much won't flinch his conscience.
"Big Brother... We, uh, we're sorry, deeply sorry," the broad thug stammered, his voice quivering with dread. Blood matted his hair, and he cast a wary glance at Zhang Yuchen with pure terror.
"We didn't know you were this strong. And this lady... Um... she's your mistress, right? We won't dare to come back."
The lanky thug, his head pressed against the ground in a supplicating posture, added quickly,
"We won't cause any more trouble. As for the loan, our White Wolf gang respects humanity and compassion. There are already so many defaulters out there; one more won't make a difference."
The scrawny thug nodded vigorously, his voice shaky but compliant.
"If that's the case, please excuse us, Brother Zhang."
Although they spoke with apparent humility, reluctance still lingered in their eyes as the three thugs supported each other, hastily trying to leave the compound and escape from the great demon, Zhang Yuchen, his green eyes intimidating them.
Click! Reload!
The crisp sound of reloading cut through the air, instantly recognized by hardened thugs. They froze in their tracks.
"Who said you could leave?" Zhang Yuchen's voice was firm, commanding, and unwavering.
The three thugs turned slowly, their eyes widening as they watched Zhang Yuchen deftly load bullets into the magazine with his thumbs.
He wore a smile that seemed to rival devils of hell.
"First, kneel before the lady and apologize," Zhang Yuchen ordered, his tone firm yet oddly amused with the smile.
"You're bleeding; wipe those noses on the ground, rub them until there is no trace of blood. Second, hand over all the money you've got, both in your wallets and in your accounts. Don't dare to cheat me. Third, remove your clothes except for your underwear and then get lost."
The three thugs exchanged uneasy glances, their minds racing with fear and regret. The broad thug spoke up, his voice filled with bitterness,
"Brother Zhang, since you had this gun, why didn't you show it earlier? We wouldn't have fought with you."
Zhang Yuchen chuckled shamelessly, his eyes narrowing with amusement.
"How else would I have a righteous and legitimate reason to rob you? Besides, it's not your place to teach me how to do things. Now, hurry up! Down on your knees."
Long Shiqian, nearby, watched the scene unfold with wide eyes, uncertain whether to feel grateful or fearful of Zhang Yuchen.
