Capítulo 25: Millennia of Conquest

"It's been a hundred years since he left me with this broken throne. If I had known this, I would never have asked him to make me queen, letting you take care of this problem while I could leave with him," Altrouge stated as she glanced at Arcueid.

"He will not let you," Arcueid snorted as she saw Altrouge more and more wanted to dump all of the problems on her.

Brother did indeed fulfill what he promised at the beginning, except for the fact that the tribes from China occasionally invaded them and engaged in small skirmishes with them. Unfortunately, they were too weak to even scratch them and were effortlessly eliminated by the Valkyrie that Brother left for them. They didn't need to make unnecessary moves; they were already easily enough to be solved.

"Why not?" Altrouge challenged.

Arcueid was too lazy to answer and argue with her. However, it didn't stop Altrouge from continuing what she wanted to say.

"Do you know the tribes of Hun that have emerged lately, Arcueid? Hah… It seems Father's old friend, Sefar, has returned," Altrouge sighed.

"Are you talking about Attila the Hun? She doesn't look like Sefar at all," Arcueid refuted.

"She isn't; however, she is going to be a problem if Brother doesn't come back. He said that I needed to be passive and defensive, and I did. If not for his words, I would have already eliminated Attila long ago. Why should I need to wait for her to become a threat to us?" Altrouge said disdainfully.

"So many things have happened in a hundred years. I never thought Ragnarok would really happen, and many gods are dead under my brother's hand, directly or indirectly. Now, they're either running for their lives or hiding in the reverse side of the world. Not only gods, but there have been many rises and falls of empires. Britannia is no longer Rome's, but an independent nation. Odin is dead, Loki has run away to the reverse side of the world, and I heard she built a familia in a place named Orario. Thor has gone along with her, chasing her there, probably wanting to kill her."

"How did you gain so much information?" Arcueid asked in a doubtful tone.

Altrouge didn't answer her question; instead, she glanced at the man in a cloak who had been silent until now in the court, listening to their conversation.

"Care to tell the details to Arcueid, Merem Solomon?"

"Tell her how my brother willingly made you his pawn and let you become a sinner who nearly made True Ancestors extinct, leaving only us."

"If Father knew what you did, I don't know how her expression would be, hahaha." Her dark laughter thundered through the throne room.

Merem Solomon could only bow his head lower and explain all the details to Arcueid.

...

"Any last words?" Titus pointed his Gugnir at Lugh's neck as he spat on the ground.

"You will have your own retribution, vampire. I curse, I curse you that..." Before he could speak his last words, Titus thrust his Gugnir into Lugh's throat, causing blood to sprout out like a fountain. He kicked him to the ground as the last breath took over him.

"Yeah, curse as much as you want, loser." Titus spat at his corpse, then turned his attention to the purple-haired woman with crimson eyes whose face was covered with a veil.

"It seems everything is almost over, Scathach. Thank you for your cooperation."

"You're such a twisted man, Titus Brunestud. You could assign me another task, yet here you are, forcing me to watch how you killed my disciple's father." Scathach snorted, not buying his gratitude. "Cu Chulainn will probably hate you for this."

"He will not live long enough to have his vengeance. His stupidity will kill him. You already know the content of the prophecy, yet you didn't say anything to him, Scathach. At least I was better than you; I didn't sugarcoat anything. As a teacher, you're indeed a failure." Titus sneered.

Cu Chulainn's life wouldn't be long; he would die under his own oath. Titus didn't need to take care of him; destiny would write his death, whether it was Alaya or Gaia didn't want Cu Chulainn to live.

And Scathach understood this, unlike Titus, who was full of resistance to them. She didn't; her will to live had already weakened to the point she didn't care about anything. After Odin's death, her life became meaningless. She had no purpose in life except to train her disciples to be strong enough to kill her. Her pride didn't allow her to commit suicide or die meaninglessly but to die under someone worthy.

"I will not follow you this time, Titus Brunestud. You should go home too; there's no need to be stubborn." Scathach then left without hesitation after she had already fulfilled her duty and task from the Counter Force.

Most heroic spirits suddenly left their journey of slaying the gods without any reason, just like Scathach. Even Gilgamesh, who was famed for hating the gods, left too.

Now, what was left for him were only the gods in China, who hadn't been slain by him yet.

It seemed he needed to visit Yu Mei Ren before his last journey.
