The next morning...

Sam blinked rapidly, trying not to doze off as he sat in a chair, supervising the organization of the conference hall.

He was not well rested because the sizable couch he had sent the night on was not as comfortable as his bed.

Sam had also woken up early and left his room to avoid facing Ashley.

It was certainly not the best course of action since they had a tour together that evening.

Sam knew he had to talk to her soon but he just couldn't help procrastinating the conversation and it sucked because he knew why.

The gnawing fear of rejection and pain paralyzed him.

He sighed softly as he tried to focus his attention on the task at hand.

Lian had entrusted him with the preparations for an important event and Sam didn't want anything to go wrong.

With a heavy sigh, he stood up and started actively helping out with the preparations to ward off sleep.
