Eveline abruptly pulled away from Gabriel's embrace while he kept his hand around her, and silence descended upon the space.

He could sense conflicting feelings in her eyes. Eveline, like him, was taken aback by the revelation that she and Ella had the same father.

Eveline inhaled deeply, feeling uneasy in her heart.

"How d-did you?" She was unable to speak since her mind was still processing his words. But as soon as Gabriel drew her in and kissed her head, she closed her eyes and focused on slowing her breathing.

"Stefan told me. The reason behind this is still unknown, but I felt compelled to share it with you." Gabriel remarked, watching her gaze up at him.

Eveline was intrigued by how calmly he handled the issue while she was going wild deep inside.

"I have no idea what to say," she answered helplessly. Her eyes were filled with tears as she looked aside, not allowing him to see them.
