"Uh, Gabriel, we can't. Did you forget you were supposed to take me to Tiffany?" She pushed him slightly, breaking the kiss and looking at him awkwardly.

Gabriel's visage hardened at the mention of Tiffany's name, and his eyes darkened as he returned his gaze to Eveline.

He was displeased, but because he had promised Eveline that he would accompany her to the police station, he swiftly pulled back and pushed himself to sit up.

Eveline blinked her eyes and began to approach him from behind. Her hands rested on her pounding heart, wondering if she had upset him, but before she could inquire, she heard him say.

"Get ready. I'll come pick you up," he murmured, gazing over his shoulder.

Eveline knew Gabriel despised the thought of meeting Tiffany after what she had done to her, but she was determined to confront her one final time.
