Fire Elemental Spirits!
In fact, many gods raise these elemental spirits. After all, if raised well, fire elementals can be very powerful and essentially become a strong subordinate deity.
However, the number of gods who can successfully raise a fire elemental is very limited. Aside from Hyperion, the sun god, hardly any other gods can manage it because it's extremely difficult to obtain enough divine fire.
Moreover, even if you get enough divine fire, there's no guarantee that a typical fire elemental can absorb it. If they can't, then it's just a futile effort.
Thus, while many gods keep fire elementals, they mostly serve as mascots. True growth among these elementals is rare, seen only under Hyperion's care.
The fact is that raising a fire elemental isn't something that can be accomplished easily or quickly.
Hades, now in possession of the fires of godslayer, the underworld, and the sun, is naturally very interested in raising a fire elemental. However, there's no rush for this; it can be done gradually over time.
"It's time to leave."
Hades stood up, having prepared everything necessary. It was time to leave after such a long period away. With all the preparations nearly complete, it was time to return to the sea realm.
Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus.
The three god-kings had spent a long time accumulating power and waiting. With everything nearly ready, it was time to act.
The Titan War!
It was time for it to begin. Continuing to wait wasn't beneficial. The three god-kings were growing stronger, but so was their terrifying father, Kronos, the Titan King.
It must be noted that Kronos, as the Titan King and the ruler of the second generation of Titans, is bound by constraints. He is the true ruler of the sky, earth, sea, and underworld, holding all these powers himself.
When such vast powers are concentrated in one individual, it becomes a burden. Now, with all these powers having dissipated, Kronos relies solely on his absolute strength rather than any specific dominion.
For Kronos, this presents an opportunity to advance further, though he only has one chance. The Titan War is essentially a race: if Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus can act quickly enough to defeat Kronos, they will emerge victorious.
If Kronos advances further before they do, everything ends there.
The probability of Kronos growing stronger is extremely slim, about 0.0001%. Yet, even this minute chance must be guarded against. For gods, the fear isn't about the low probability but the presence of any probability at all.
Hence, preparations are nearly complete, and it's time to begin. Procrastination is detrimental in the Titan War.
Hades left the underworld. Hypnos and Thanatos, the twin gods, drove the chariot straight towards the sea realm. Their pace was not fast, but for the underworld chariot and the twin gods, it was quite swift. Soon, the three gods re-entered the sea realm.
At this moment!
Hades could sense a difference upon re-entering the sea realm. If the sea realm once felt like a nurturing mother, it now felt like a sea of endless danger, brimming with perilous waves.
The sea realm now exuded a feeling of readiness for war, clearly indicating Poseidon's control and preparation for the Titan War.
"Lord Hades..."
Hypnos noticed something, whispering, "The sea realm seems different."
Thanatos, also observing the surroundings, said, "There are many new and special divine presences in the sea realm. These gods seem..."
The twin gods had clearly sensed the change, while Hades calmly replied, "Pay it no mind. Head to the Heart of the Ocean. Poseidon has taken control and is preparing for the upcoming war."
"Yes!"
The twin gods bowed respectfully, curious if the underworld was also preparing.
After all, should more third-tier gods be prepared as cannon fodder?
These cannon-fodder third-tier gods are not significant at all in this golden age, where they are as common as dirt.
Hades contemplated for a moment and then said, "Upon returning to the underworld, Hypnos, Thanatos, you will go to the mortal realm to find pure souls and guide them to become underworld gods."
"Understood!"
The twin gods bowed respectfully. These pure souls would become third-tier gods, serving as cannon fodder in the underworld.
These cannon-fodder gods are raised purely for the purpose of war. Without such preparations, maintaining a large number of underworld gods is pointless.
Hades remained deep in thought as the chariot continued towards the Heart of the Ocean.
Suddenly.
Hades raised his hand to halt the chariot.
The twin gods immediately stopped, while Hades looked down, sensing an island infused with tree life. The demonic star was stirring!
