Capítulo 11: The bad timing
The soft sunlight streamed through my bedroom window as I heard a gentle knock on the door. I furrowed my brow in confusion; I didn't have any appointments or plans for the day. When I opened the door, a young woman with a sweet smile stood there, holding a large bag and a small box of salon supplies.
"What can I help you with?" I asked, trying to understand her and friends ' unexpected visit.
"Ms. Lucia, I've been sent by Mr. Evan to provide personal salon services. He wants you to have some pampering and feel special today," she replied warmly.
I was surprised. Evan had actually arranged something for me. I frowned, imagining him teasing me by constantly thinking of him, but instead he had orchestrated such a plan!
"How is Miss Lucia?" I was lost in thought and invited them in~~a few professional stylist staff who made me nervous.
Several hours passed in meticulous care. My hair was styled beautifully, tied back, and my face adorned with gentle yet elegant makeup. I couldn't help but smile seeing the result in the mirror. I felt like I was on cloud nine. and the perfect cute dress on me.
Suddenly, my phone rang with a message. I opened it from him, letting me know he was already 'waiting' at the cinema.
**Evan:** (in the message) "Hey darling, I'm waiting at the cinema. Are you almost ready?"
I smiled broadly, feeling happiness overflowing within me. "Almost, Evan. I'll be there soon."
After bidding farewell to the friendly stylist, I quickly got ready, admiring my new appearance. It wasn't just about the outward appearance; it was about the attention and love he showed me. I sincerely thanked the stylist before heading to the cinema.
Arriving at the cinema, I was greeted by a staff member who led me to a specially reserved table set by Evan. The table was adorned with beautiful flowers and small lights, adding a romantic touch. I smiled contentedly at his effort.
As I sat at the table, I activated my phone to connect via video call with Evan. He was already waiting on the screen, his smile warm as he saw me.
**Lucia:** "Hi, darling. You've arranged everything so beautifully."
**Evan:** "Hi there, gorgeous. Let's enjoy tonight together."
He ordered luxurious food and started our virtual dinner, enjoying warm conversation. The screening of my favorite romance movie began, and we teased and flirted with each other as if we were together in person. Despite the distance between us, this moment made me feel closer to Evan than ever before.
"You know what my favorite is af!"
"I do! Something like fifty shades of gray!"
"Oh please, you make me blush!"
"You are hotest than her! You know that!"
But silly me, I forgot to be mad at him for not letting me know her place yesterday. Gosh, I'm so weak.
But bad, the atmosphere was disturbed by a commotion from outside. I turned towards the entrance, and there stood Emily, her face radiating anger and disappointment.
She shouted and quickly approached me as if ready to unleash a torrent of emotions, "Lucia! How dare you watch all of them! You have no shame, who do you think you are? How great and rich your daddy is, he only considers you his puppet, and you're so proud to watch the premiere alone with our facilities, you damn!"
I was taken aback, unsure how to respond. My gaze shifted between Evan on the screen and Emily entering the room in anger. To shock reality.
Adrian followed behind her, trying to calm her, "Emily, calm down. Don't disturb her."
But Emily couldn't be restrained by his words. She hurried towards me, grabbing my hair roughly, making me wince in pain. She went berserk, grabbing my hand and slapping me in front of the phone screen connected with Evan.
"Let go of me, Emily!" I was shocked and unprepared, just managing to hold my sitting position as she attacked me from behind.
Emily screamed again, "You don't deserve him! Your daddy, he doesn't love you like you thought, he likes your body because you're cheap!"
I felt a mix of emotions, angry and surprised. How did our sweet date turn into this nightmare? Evan looked shocked and worried on the screen.
"Whoever you are, stop this! This is not acceptable!" He shouted.
As Evan's voice boomed, Emily shut down our communication. I tried to get up and retaliate against her hair-pulling, but she was too emotional and even grabbed a fork from my table, ready to hurt me.
"Emily!" Adrian shouted and slapped Emily in front of me.
Slapped!
Meanwhile, there, without my knowing. Without hesitation, Evan immediately called the cinema security and asked them to secure Emily.
And Adrian tried to calm down her too who was getting more furious.
After a while, security arrived and escorted Emily out of the cinema. Evan then contacted the police to take her to the police station for further questioning. And I don't want to know more about it.
I sat back on my chair.
"Sorry for this disturbance, darling. I'll make sure Emily won't bother us again."
I shook my head gently, still shaken by the incident. "I understand, Evan. Thank you for protecting me."
We both took deep breaths, trying to calm the remaining tension. Despite the disturbance, I felt grateful to have Evan who's always ready to protect me, both in real life and in our different kind of date tonight. I felt so happy, even though you're far away, you still want to make me special, and it made me tear up with joy.
"Darling, what's wrong, it hurts so much, I'll treat and protect you, but I'm still here, I'll call the doctor for you, my love, don't cry."
While wiping tears, I smiled, "darling?" he was increasingly worried from his tone, "darling, you're hurt, I'm really upset because I can't take care of you."
"Evan, not like that, scratches and hair pulls by Emily may hurt but not make me cry but you~~,"
"Me? Sorry, darling, all because of me."
"Not Evan, but your love made me, I moved, I fell in love with you more."
I couldn't hear Evan's words again other than the screen of the phone turning blank, "Evan ?
