Capítulo 2: Chapter 2: System? (Edited)

The match yesterday was on the 5th of October, 2019. They should have a new game on the 12th of October, but it was postponed due to international call-ups, so the next match is on the 19th of October.

This means Alex has about two weeks to prepare every weapon he has.

"It seems that the life of coaching a team isn't easy," thought Richard.

[Yes, it seems we have a big job to do.]

"Um?" Alex raised his eyebrows. He could swear he had heard someone speaking, but seeing there was no one, he thought he was hallucinating.

[No, you're not hallucinating. I am inside your head.]

Alex was sure this time that he had heard a voice saying it was in his head.

"So, did I become crazy after becoming a coach?"

[Maybe.]

Alex was speechless this time. What a paradox!

He finally calmed down, and just like that, minutes passed as he thought of all possibilities about what was happening to him.

Although he is a player, before traveling, Alex liked watching anime, so he thought maybe it was some magical thing like when someone was reincarnated as a slime.

Everything would have become clear to him if he had watched some Otaku novels, but unfortunately, he thinks reading burns his head, so usually, he doesn't like reading unless it's something he finds interesting.

He asked, "Can you, by Odin's beard, tell me what's happening?"

[As expected of my chosen one, you have already calmed down.]

"Who are you?" asked Alex.

[Technically, I don't have a name.]

Alex felt as if he was being played. He couldn't help but ask, "So what are you and why are you in my head?"

[Even I don't know what I am, but based on the novels that I read, I should be a system.]

[The reason I am in your head is because I want to bind with you,] he then took a long time explaining to Alex what a system is.

After understanding what a system is, he then explained to Alex why he is similar to these systems and his abilities.

After understanding, Alex still asked to confirm, "So basically, I can draw a template from past players every six months and inherit their attributes or give it to a player on my team?"

"And if I give the template to my team player, they will only inherit six attributes of the template plus the talent and skill of the talent, but although I give them the template, I will also receive the template's talent but not the attributes and skills, right?"

[It's pretty much that. Plus, every day, you have a chance to simulate or play a match against any team, but it's only available once a day.]

Alex was so excited after hearing the explanation. In his last life, he was a singer, and although not renowned worldwide, he was a little successful with some fans. He had a hobby of watching anime and football games.

He only started watching football in 2014. He wasn't that big of a fan, and there wasn't a team that he particularly liked.

He would always pay attention to transfer news, the England national team and young stars emerging every day. Unfortunately, just one month after Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund, he died.

He found himself reborn in 1992. Unfortunately, his family was very poor, and every day was a fight until he turned five.

He participated in a trial for the U-7 of Sunderland AFC. Although he was the youngest among them, with his adult mind, he showed skill completely unmatched by even 7-year-old kids and was immediately recruited.

Seeing the embarrassing situation of his family, his father was offered work as the driver of the first team, and his mother was in the team canteen.

Since then, he was greatly taken care of by the staff and didn't disappoint them.

After only 3 years of formal training, at only eight years old, he was promoted to the U-13, which became a shocking fact among the fans.

He was quickly spotted. At that time, Michael Owen had just won the Ballon d'Or at only twenty-two and was in his prime, so Alex was nicknamed the new Owen.

Alex didn't waste his chance. His big advantage was his maturity compared to young players.

He was willing to endure much harder work than players his age, plus he had good shooting skills since he shot 100 balls at the very least without missing a single day since he became an academy player.

He always watched highlights, and of course, the tactical courses that young players found boring and hated the most.

His hard work and effort paid off; he first represented the first team when he was only 16 years old in 2008.

Then, he represented the U-20 English National team and successfully qualified for the Egypt U-20 2009 World Cup, which was different from the original time and space where England was eliminated in the qualification and didn't participate.

They defeated the Italian youth team after hard work and a bit of a fluke, thanks to Alex's last-minute goal. Of course, as a fake fan, Alex didn't know that the U-20 English Team didn't qualify in the original time and space.

He then led the team until the Final, where they defeated the Brazilian youth team 2-1, ending the reign of Brazil and Argentina winning the cup since 1999.

He won the Best Player and the Golden Boot with 9 goals, winning the first Youth World Cup for England, exploding his popularity once more.

That same year, he also won the Golden Boy award, beating Alexandre Pato.

It can be seen how powerful and talented he was. But now, if you go to YouTube and search for talented football players who wasted their talent, his name will probably be the one to appear in any video.

Anyone concluded that he wasted his talent by not leaving Sunderland. But how could they understand his thoughts?
